The Story Of Us

Prologue:

We're laughing.

My hair is blowing in the type of wind that sends chills up my spine.

His arms are around me and he's placing a gentle kiss on my cheek.

His name is Aiden.

He's my best friend.

I stomp on histone playfully and he lets go of me.

"Ow!" He exclaims.

We're both still laughing.

I splash him with the water he dragged me into just moments before.

"Not Nice!" He gasps out, catching my hands and putting them behind my back.

"Never said I was," I smirk.

He rolls his eyes and whispers in my ear, "You know how your afraid of heights?"

I raise an eyebrow, "obviously," I laugh nervously. "Why?"

"Because I'm pretty tall," he whispers before flipping me over his shoulder.

I squeal in surprise. "Put me down!" I exclaim.

He just shakes his head and walks deeper into the water with me.
When he can just barely reach the bottom of the water he takes me off of his back so that I am facing him.

He wipes a smudge of dirt off of my cheek before gently pressing his lips to mine.
