Rin POV

I stared at Shiro for a while, I recognised him from some of the memorise I have, he looks at me as if he just saw a ghost. He immediately jumps up but he stops once he sees me properly.

"I don't bite, if that is what your worried about." I said as awkwardly stand next to Mephisto who then starts to push me forward. That was when Shiro tried to hug me, but I step away from him leaving him confused.

"It's best if you don't touch me when I'm not wearing my gear, I don't want to infect you by accident." I explained, it's so that the people around me stay safe. He walks up to me, I can tell he wants to hold on to me. There's that look in his eyes of fear as he thought this wasn't real.

"How did you... you got bit, we all saw you get bitten how are you still... you." Shiro yells as he tries not to grab my shoulder, I'm presuming it's was the one where I was bitten.

" I'm not sure. I remember the day I was bitten, I've had a few memories come back to me but I don't remember much. Not long ago I was just a walking corpse barely able to walk properly and the part about being me... I don't even know who I am other than I'm Rin and I have a younger brother and a cat named Kuro. Other than that I don't know anything." I said as Mephisto pushed me into the room and continued to do so.

" so.. why are yo-"

" Rin is here to find the location of his brother. Do you by any chance know where he going? We know he's in Kyoto but we don't know exactly where to in Kyoto." Mephisto said with that smug smile plastered on his face again as he interrupted Shiro.

" He said he was heading to a facility that was doing research before everything went down. He heard rumours that the facility was where the virus was created. He's trying to find information for someone." Shiro explained as he loaded one of his guns with bullets.

" I'm going to be heading to Kyoto for a supply run and to get Yukio, I'll be heading up there in two days. I can take you with me if you like but Kyoto is well known for it's large amount of zombies, not an ideal place to try and camp out in." Shiro added as he continued to load up guns and check his weapons.

"Why did you let him go there if you knew about the large hordes without someone like me or somebody else with him?" I asked as I watched him. If he knew he shouldn't of let him go there on his own, he could get bitten or even eaten without somebody to keep a look out for him.

" I didn't. I told him it was reckless and that he should wait a few days so that he could go with a group but he decided to sneak out on his own, I don't know who needs this information but whoever it is they are getting impatient." Shiro said as he placed something into a bag.

It was then that screams started as the echoed upstairs along with growls and screeches. We all stopped before looking at each other.

"Shit, we need to go before we get shredded to pieces." Shiro growled as he got his duffle bag along with a gun.

"You mean before you get ripped apart, Rin and I would be just fine." Mephisto said, earning a glare from Shiro and myself. It was the the screeching and growling cane closer towards us.

"Zombies can't climb stairs! How did they get up here?" I slightly yell and I peaked out the room to see what the hell was going on.

As soon as I peaked out, I felt anxiety crawl through my body. There at the end of the hall was a half rotten corpse, running at an alarming rate down the hall, screaming and immediately tearing into anyone it met. By the sounds of it there more or far behind it

" okay we need to go before that eats Shiro." I said as I opened the window.

"What about your friends? Surely you should make sure they are safe." Mephisto said as he came over to me.

" they will be fine, I trust that Suguro got them out in time." I replied as I pulled on a pair of gloves and any piece of clothing that would cover my arms and body.

Once the gloves were on I grabbed Shiro and pulled him to the window.

" we can't go down the hall there are to many and we can't out run them. We're just going to have to jump out and hope for the best."
