CHAPTER 29 - Be With Me

Maze's POV

Our vacation is over.

Back to cruel reality.

I don't know how to face Kian.

I don't know how to face MK.

"Hoy Z! Are you listening to me? Kanina pa ako nagsasalita dito, but ikaw ay not paying attention. What's in your mind ba?" Jiyo said na nakakunot-noo.

"Nothing. I'm just not in the mood" I said na nakayuko.

"Psh. Anyway, malalate na ako. Hope you figure things out. Gotta go! Mwah! See yah later Z!" Jiyo waved at me.

Umalis na si Jiyo. Now, I'm alone. Nakaupo ako sa bench all by myself. And this is what I hate the most. I really hate being alone. Back when I was in Sweden, I don't like staying at our place kasi mag-isa lang ako. Well, except kung kasama ko si Marric. Sa Spain naman, sila Jiyo and Lui ang lagi kong kasama.

Haaay, I think I'll stay here lang muna. At least peaceful dito. There's no Kian. There's no MK. For short, wala dito ang mga tinatakasan ko.

I'll take this time to observe the beauty of nature.

What the heck! Beauty of nature ang gusto kong ma-observe not the presence of MK! My gosh! Saan na ako pupunta? He's approaching! I'm panicking here! Help!

When I was about to take a step, MK called my name. Damn! Now what?! What now?!

"Maze!" MK. Now he's running towards me. Argh! Backward please!

With hesitation, I faced him.

"Oh MK. Hi" I smiled hesitantly why wavibg at him.

"Nagmamadali ka ba? May-" MK

"No! Of course not. I'm just observing the beauty of nature" me with my I dunno hand gestures. Yeah, right. But deep inside I'm shaking. Just masking it with my amazing acting.

He smiled at me. "Pwede ba tayong mag-usap?"

Not again! Bakit ba ang daming gustong makipag-usap sa'kin?

"Ahhh, uhm. Sure?"

"Great! Saan tayo mag-uusap? Okay lang sa'yo dito?" MK said while glancing at the surroundings.

My eyes widened because of what I just saw. Gosh! Ba't ba sabay sila?! I saw Kian approaching here na mukhang may hinahanap. I think hindi pa niya ako nakita. I don't know who he's looking for, but I don't care. He can't see me!

I'm like a crazy idiot that has nothing to do but panic. Gosh, I think I look funny. Para akong praning. I really don't know what to do. Should I run? Should I hide behind MK? Should I shout? Argggghhh! Bakit ba kasi silang dalawa nandito? This is making me loca!

MK keeps talking but I can't just listen to him. Not now. Iwan ko nalang kaya si MK dito? Should I make an excuse? Damn it! Bahala na!

Sa huli, hinila ko si MK. I don't know where to, but yeah hinila ko siya. Now I'm running out of breath. And so did MK.

"Sandali. Hinihingal na ako" MK said between breaths. I stopped running na rin kasi sobrang nakakapagod na. Umupo si MK sa grass kaya umupo na rin ako.

"Bakit ka biglang tumakbo?" MK asked while panting heavily.

"Exercise?" I'm also hinihingal. Duh? I won't tell him that I saw Kian.

"Sabihin mo. May tinatakasan ka ba?" MK grinned.

"What?! No! Wala noh!" I looked away while doing the 'shoo' hand gesture.
