Long ago, when the Earth was just barely a century old, there lived five knights of the Earth, Wind, Water, Darkness, and Fire. They were of five different races: Malina, an Elf, children of the Earth, Carthon, an Orc, beings of Fire, Calliope, a Siren, people of Water, Velna, a Dragonborne, people of the Dark, and Merlio, a Faeries, creatures of the Wind. Together, they protected the four sacred weapons: The Bow of Earth, The Axe of Flame, The Spear of Rain, The Staff of Darkness, and The Sword of Air. Everything was peaceful, all the races were united, and everyone was treated equal...until the humans decided they wanted the sacred weapons for themselves and attacked the temple. A war began, the four knights fighting to keep the sacred weapons safe from the humans' grasp, the other races uniting to help the Five Knights, until the ending of the war. The orcs betrayed the other four races, making a creature that could destroy the mystical beings if stopped.
The creature was released upon the Faeries, wiping out the entire race, all except for one. Korrina, the daughter of the Knight of Wind. She was forced into hiding, not even able to tell her father she had survived. Believing all of his kind was wiped out, Merlio was furious. He called upon all of his powers and ended the war, but at the cost of his and the other knights' lives. The weapons were lost in the carnage and disappeared from history. It is said that when the world is in danger, the knights will return and recover the five sacred weapons of myth and come together to put all evil to rest.
