Chapter 35

(A/N: Hey guys, hope you're all doing well and are ok! So, I have a bit of a dilemma, I found out yesterday that my family gave me the wrong dates for their holiday, so they're not going next week as I was told, they're actually going a month later, and I don't have as much time as I did a few weeks ago so I'm unable to write the chapters as quick as I am posting them, I literally have one more completed chapter left and then I have only managed to today get half of 37 done, so I think I will need to take a break so that I can get the chapters written, hopefully it won't be a long break, just until I have maybe 4 or 5 completed, obviously I do still have the time booked off work, and I haven't been mentally great this week so I'm thinking of still keeping those days off to take a break, and just booking the actual holiday dates off, so I'll hopefully be able to work on the story more then, I don't know, I'll see how things go, but it does look like I'll have to take a break to catch up anyway.. but for now, enjoy this chapter, let me know what you think of it, it's an exciting one, but a little sad at the same time! Knock Knock

I look around nervously, seeing if I've been followed here by the stalker. I see him on pretty much a daily basis now, mostly outside home, sometimes if I go out, he might follow me for a little bit and then disappear. I can't see the car nearby so I think I'm safe.

"Addi, hey" Jake greets as he answers the door, cradling baby Colby in his arms. Stefan isn't with me, he's at work. I have the day off, which is nice, but unsettling at the same time, I don't like being on my own at the moment.

"Hey Jake, sorry to just turn up unannounced" I say.

"No, it's fine, come on in, you'll get cold" He says, stepping back as he urges me to go inside.

"Thanks" I say, stepping inside, we go into the living room.

"Ali is sleeping at the moment, this little guy wouldn't settle well overnight so I've had her get some rest while I look after him" Jake says as I sit down. That is really good of him to let her rest.

"It's fine, actually, it was you who I came to talk to" I say.

"Ok, sure" He nods. "Firstly, can I get you a drink or anything?" He asks.

"Sure, a glass of water would be great" I smile.

"Sure, erm, would you hold him for a minute?" He asks. I nod rather eagerly and he gently passes Colby to me, I sit him in my arms, he's still so tiny, but at the same time he has grown since I last saw him when he was literally a newborn. He's so gorgeous, so perfect. He has his Dads eyes and hair, his Mums smile and nose.

"You are so perfect, Colby, and in just a few months, you'll have a little friend to grow up with" I smile. I place a little kiss on his forehead. "You've got two amazing parents who love you so much, and the love you have for you goes beyond them, you have me, Auntie Addi, then Uncle Stefan, Uncle Stan who you're also named after, Uncle Elliott, and Uncle Finnick.. that's a lot of Uncles" I say. Thinking out loud on the last part.

Jake returns with a glass of water for me, and a drink for himself.

"So, how're you doing?" He asks as he sits down next to me, while I still cradle Cole.

"Good enough, I think" I nod as I answer with uncertainty. "You?" I ask.

"Yeah, still getting used to parenthood, would you believe" He chuckles.

"I can actually, I think anyone becoming a first time parent takes a while to get used to being one, whereas you two, one moment you're possibly pregnant but not 100% sure, then the next, you've got yourself a son, literally" I chuckle.
