For years, the town of Valencia was a peaceful place.
The people were respectful, the weather was calm, and everyone was happy. However, there was one thing that separated the town of Valencia from all of the rest. The magic.
The day you are born, you are said to be gifted with something in particular that will set you apart from others within the country of Yesenia. Your eyes.
The eyes bring a special power to one's soul, and, once your eyes open the day you are born, you are forever blessed with a certain magic.
Of course, each eye color belongs to a certain magic.
The simple Orange eyes are the fire wielders. They can bend and shape fire to whatever form they desire. The crystal blue eyes are the water wielders, the white eyes are our ice clan, the brown eyes are our creature colony, and many more. Then, over all of the magic eyes, there is one that is only to be owned by the royal family of Valencia. The Zenaida family of the golden eyes.
They have the ability to wield almost any magic at one simple thought. They are powerful and completely protected by the entire town of Valencia. However, there is one magic that can defeat them. One magic they cannot wield.
This magic, forbidden magic, is wielded by a particular eye. A Violet Eye. Anyone who is found with this eye will be immediately executed. For they are dangerous and will do anything in their power to steal the throne. They have been feared for centuries by our ancestors, and they cannot be trusted. That is, until I met one.

"Her eyes. Not just any eyes. Not like the crisp blue of the ocean, or the deep, captivating brown. Not even the fresh, light green. No. Her eyes were special.
Her eyes could tell you the secrets of life and everything within it, the reason the wind blows through the trees as if it's taking a huge sigh, the reason the sun rises and the earth warms, and even the reason we all exist. They could tell you about yourself and your future and what her story was. They told you everything you ever needed to know. Her eyes were perfect in every way; however, there was one thing that stopped her world from being a fairytale.
Her eyes kept a target on her back at all times.
Although the rest of the world believed that she was just another girl that deserved scum, I saw much more in her.
     She was perfect."
