I never had the chance to be soft i was always bloody knuckles and broken glass i wanted people to be afraid of hurting me. given that i suppose it makes sense i'm lacking in the family department, most of my life it's just been me and my motorcycle, bouncing from place to place. I'm searching for something what that is i guess i'll know once I've found it but as of now my search had landed me in the small town of Charming California. For no reason in particular i had decided to stop in this town for awhile, unknowingly i had already started to have some ties to this town. When i had crossed the town line it was almost like i had been pulled to the Teller-Marrow garage like a magnet, as soon as i drove in and saw all the motorcycles and kuttes i should have left, i knew this was the kind of place that would get me in some shit but that didn't stray me off my path as i made my way into the office that day or maybe it was the blonde i had passed that had my attention. i had hit it off with Gemma as soon as i walked in and she gave me a job in the office helping her but sometimes i picked up shifts bartending to help out half sack, before i knew it i had been here a few months. That's where i was today sitting in the office working on paperwork or at least that was what i was supposed to be doing but it was a slow day as far as club business so the guys were in the garage working which i had a clean view of from the desk. something dropped onto the desk in front of me bringing my attention back into the office to find Gemma standing in front of me with a hand on her hip and a knowing look, shit i had been caught.

"something interesting" Gemma laughed dropping into one of the other chairs.

"hmm no" trying to act like i was reading through some paper work

"but i wonder who's charm has caught our y/n" she glanced out at the garage thinking it over " is it Jax" i wasn't worried about my facial expressions giving it away because i was a closed book but i could feel the blush that dusted my cheeks and the tips of my ears, i knew she saw it nothing slips by Gemma.

"it'd be a mistake he's not looking for an old lady and i'm not one of his crow eaters i don't like being used" i gave up my rouse with the paper work finally looking her in the eyes "please don't tell him"

" i won't sweetheart but maybe you should" her tone still light somehow held seriousness to it, i shrugged it off hoping to ease the weight of the conversation off my chest but i knew it was a useless effort.

"what are you trying to pressure our girl into?" Jax spoke capturing the attention of the room as he stepped in leaning back against the wall next to the chair Gemma had taken.

"just inviting her to the party were throwing tonight" she lied effortlessly covering my ass

"damn for once i agree, you should come tonight" he offered and i was ready to decline but the second i glanced up to meet his eyes i had lost the battle.

"maybe, no promises" i turned back to my work before i could back track and give into him entirely. I wasn't a push over by any means but the way he gets me to change my mind pisses me off. I picked my bag up off the desk slinging it over my shoulder to dig for my keys, coming up empty handed i realized i hadn't driven in today i had caught a ride with one of the boys who had been passing by my house to head back from an errand anyways.

"fuck" i cursed under my breath "Gem can you give me ride home?"

"sorry hun I'm swamped in work, Jackson could you take her" she ask off offhandedly pretending to look busy.

"yeah sure" he leaned down to kiss her cheek before gesturing for me to follow. I shot a look at Gemma before trailing behind him to his bike not that this had surprised me in the slightest. by the time i had walked over he was already on his bike, seeing me he passed me his helmet. he glanced back over his shoulder at me as i swung my leg over to straddle the bike. My body was pressed completely against his as i wrapped my arms around his stomach, i felt Jax chuckle but before i could ask what was so funny the wind was already whipping around us as his motorcycle sped down the street. It was a small town so the ride to my apartment was short, before i knew it we were outside my place and i was slipping off his bike as well as away from the intoxicating smell of leather and cologne that clung to him. I popped the clip on the helmet slipping it off and trying to smooth down my hair as fast as possible before he could notice. Movement caught my eye, glancing up i became aware of the fact that he had gotten off his motorcycle and was standing not to far in front of me. Shooting him a questioning look i passed back his helmet.
