Finally, Friday. Max was relieved as her favorite day had just reached. She planned that after the lessons, she would keep reading the comics she bought for Christmas.

As the redhead girl walked out of her class with her two friends, someone tapped her shoulder from behind.
"Hi?" - Max started with a raised eyebrow.
"Hey, I wanted to ask you something." - Jack shyly uttered.
"What's going on?" - Nate intervened, looking confusedly at Jack and Max.
"I just wanna ask her something in private. I swear I won't hurt her, it's not my intention."
"It's okay, you go." - Max told her friends and they nodded, leaving them alone. - "So?"
"Well, about last night... Well, I was thinking... if you'd like to go out with me?"
"You tried to hurt me."
"I know, I'm so fucking sorry! It wasn't my intention. I acted like dick, I know. Let me show you that I'm really sorry and I'll try to fix my mistake. We even kissed last night, didn't it mean something to you?" - the blond boy rubbed his hands nervously while looking nervously at the girl in front of him.
"You know, what you did to me it can't be forgiven. But anyways, it's in the past and you wasn't yourself. But as for the kiss, I'm gonna be honest, I just wanted to make someone jealous and I did. You helped."
"Wait... you're saying that you used me just to make someone jealous?!"
The redhead simply nodded.
"I'm such an idiot." - Jack seethed and left with fast steps, offended.
Max only scoffed and made her way to her friends who were waiting for the girl further. Max didn't care for that boy's feelings. Let's say that it was kind of a payback for what he did. Jack tried to hurt her so Max did the same, even if she didn't know what would actually happen that night. She just wanted to make her crush jealous, which worked.

Max was laying on her bed, reading comics. She closed the book after reading some chapters and sighed, looking at the ceiling. In her eyes reappeared Jane's face, and all the other things that happened between them. Her heart started beating while thinking that what would she do that moment if Jane would accept to go through a relationship. She had a feeling Jane could be at the Central Park in that moment, the heart was telling her so. Max stood up quickly, without thinking it twice, and started dressing up. Jayden was writing on her laptop, frowning as she saw her friend dressing up fast.
"What's on your mind now?"
"Um, I'll take some air."
"Okay." - she nodded, still doubtful. A mind was telling her that Max was going to see Jane.

The redhead walked to the park, looking at the sky, too. It wasn't dark blue and filled with stars, it was in an orange shade, the clouds compacted with each other. The wind was blowing, but not too fast. Max looked around, trusting her heart that her crush was there. And there she was, standing on her feet, her back laid on the thick tree trunk, a cigarette in her hand. Max approached the brunette and got in front of her.
"Hi." - the redhead started simply.
"What now?" - the bartender raised her left eyebrow.
"What?! Nothing, I was just walking around and I thought to greet my... friend. And to clean my head, for sure."
"Why, or did your boyfriend break your tiny heart?"
"Why do you ask?" - Max raised her eyebrow.
  "Just curious. So did he?"
  "Who did what?"
"That blond boy, your boyfriend, he broke your heart or what?"
"First of all: he didn't break my heart and second of all: why the fuck you care? Weren't you the one who wasn't ready for this relationship? Well, sorry, but not my fault I found someone else."
Jane clenched her jaw and looked away, the smoke running out of her nose.
"Don't tell me you're regretting your choice." - the redhead smirked.
The brunette bartender threw her cigarette away and got closer to Max's face, angrily.
"Why did you come here? To mock me or what? What's your intention?"
"Why are you so angry? I don't get you."
"You're getting on my nerves." - Jane warned out.
"You were the one who got curious about me and that blond boy. ...Are you jealous?"
The taller girl just kept looking at Max's ocean blue eyes, focused.
"Stop staring at me like that. Do you have an answer or not?" - Max asked again, but Jane looked like she didn't have any answer yet. The redhead rolled her eyes and turned her back to leave, but the brunette caught her arm tightly, making Max turn back to her.
"Are you playing with me?" - she raised her eyebrow.
  "Who's playing with you?
"You want to get me jealous, that's what you want?"
"Why do you behave like this? Or you feel bad that you didn't have the chance to be with me? It's not my fault you think I'm like your ex or whatever. You don't trust me, then it's okay, I'm taking someone else as you can't-" - but Max wasn't able to finish her sentence as Jane's lips pressed or hers.
The rain started, wetting both girls who lost in a passionate kiss. Max's hands drove on Jane's brown wavy hair while the brunette wrapped her arms around the girl's waist. The kiss was sloppy, because of the rain which decided to join them. As the girls pulled back, they locked their eyes together, foreheads pressed with each other.
"Don't ever play with me like that." - Jane said in a desperate voice.
  "You said you weren't ready."
  "Fuck what I said."
Max only chuckled happily from what she heard from the brunette. Her heart was flying even if Max couldn't process it how did it happen.
"Do you feel the rain's pouring on our heads?"
"I'm just enjoying the moment." - Jane answered with a small smirk. - "Let's go at my place. It's not far."
Max only nodded, not thinking anything else. She wished this moment for long, and it happened.

The two girls entered a small building on Queens. Max remembered this neighborhood. Jayden's cousin lived there, too, but two or three streets away. Now she learnt Jane's place, too. While walking at a white door, inside a small corridor, another one opened. An old woman got out, she was about 60 years old, short, grey short hairs, wearing a long brown skirt, a white shirt and a brown jersey on top.
"Good evening, Miss Johnson." - Jane smiled.
"Jane, sweetie, you didn't take an umbrella, look at you. You'll get a cold!" - the old lady said, worriedly.
"It's okay, and I didn't think it'd be a rainy day today. The clouds lied to me."
Miss Johnson chuckled.
"You have guests?" - she smiled at Max who was feeling awkward.
"Oh um, yeah." - the brunette replied shyly.
"Get inside quickly, I don't want you to get any cold. If you need anything, come and get me."
  "Thanks miss. Goodnight."

As the girls entered inside, Max turned to Jane.
  "Who's that lady?"
"She's the owner of this house, but she's like a mom to me. She takes care of me and I take care of her, sometimes. I help her with groceries or little things, you know." - the girl explained as she took of her black wet sneakers.
  "That's so nice."
"Let's change our clothes, come with me." - the brunette took Max's hand, leaving the small corridor and the small salon, entering a dark brown door in the end of it, which had the kitchen in the left side. The house wasn't that big, but still cozy, in Max's opinion. The bedroom was not small, but not even big, and it was all tidy and clean. A big bed was in the middle of the room while a small one was on the right side, near the wall. On the left side, near the window, was a big closet in a dark brown color. Jane walked towards, opening its door and pulling out some clothes.
"Take these. You can change here, I'll go to the bathroom." - she softly smiled and left with her clothes.
Max couldn't believe what was happening. She just came at her crush's house, after kissing her in the middle of the rain like in those romantic movies. She didn't even know if she was her girlfriend or if all of this was, at least, any sort of a date. Or nothing at all.

Jane sat on the couch in the salon, waiting for Max to finish drying her hair. The redhead walked out of the bathroom, wearing one of Jane's white oversized sweater and black sweatpants which she had to fold them as they were kinda long. She sat down, not to close to the brunette, and smiled awkwardly, not knowing what to do or say.
"Did you tell Jay you're staying here the night?"
"Shit! I forgot. She's going to kill me."
Jane chuckled while Max started texting her friend.

Max closed her phone and turned back to Jane.
"I uhh, told her. So...?"
"So?" - the brunette smirked.
"Is this thing kinda like a date or... nothing?!" - Max asked nervously.
"If you wanna call it a date, I'm not against it."
The redhead smiled and blushed at the same time. Jane moved closer and pulled Max close to her chest, the blue eyed girl wrapping her arms around Jane's waist, smelling her sweet perfume from her neck and the good smell coming from the Nike T-shirt Jane was wearing. The brunette turned on the TV, taking it at movies' channel. Max thought she was dreaming, butterflies wouldn't stop running inside her stomach.
