She becomes possessed at unknown times, and commits horrible acts while possessed. When she isn't, she tries to make up for it and find a way to release herself from the Prophets.
The Prophets are ancient evil and are as powerful as gods. They possess the children because they are considered Young and healthier enough to carry their souls.
