I was so uneasy with myself
"Um?.. what are you doing here?" I asked my ex boss along with my sister who is busy scowling at me
"You left your laptop behind, I decided to drop it on my way to work" he said handling me my laptop
"You could have just dropped it downstairs" I huffed, then my sister smacked my head
"Ow! What was that for?" I asked her. Then she gave me some of her eye signs
I let out a groan and muttered a thank you to my ex boss. He nodded and left

"Hey Dad" I greeted my dad as he came to sit by me on my couch"Hello my darling, we need to talk!"
"Okay Dad, about what?" I sat upright on my couch
"So Kingsley told me he fired you yesterday?" Kingsley is my ex boss's name.
"Yes, he did. But dad I didn't do anything wrong I might have kind of mistakenly spilled coffee all over his shirt. You should have seen the look on his face. PRICELESS!!" I said to my father trying not to laugh but to my surprise my dad has burst out in laughter, I had no choice than to join him
My dad's a really cool dad, not old school, just cool ya know?
"But still darling, it wasn't nice" he was giving me his stern face right now
I simply nodded
"So Monday is your birthday?" My dad asked more like a statement
"Oh yes, you remember!" I jumped on him choking him in my hug. He never remembers but I don't get mad at him for that
" Expect the best present from me" I simply smiled at what my father just said
"Yes daddy. I'm going to be 24" I smiled
"Was the coffee hot or warm?" My daddy asked out of the blues
"Steaming hot dad" I said laughing again, soon he joined
Then my mom chose that time to ruin our father-daughter moment by barging into my room
Like hello?? Do you know what knocking is??
"I thought you came here to scold her?" My mom said crossing both arms
"Yes, I did. But I figured my daughter is just super cool" he said to my mom which made her snort unlady like. Then he faced me " You know Dèjà, we could secretly be some villain?" He suggested
I laughed and we fist bumped
My mom just let out a groan and walked out of my room slamming the door
"What's up with your wife?" I asked my dad
"She's probably on Japan" he shrugged like it's no big deal. By Japan my dad means on her period because of the red spot in the middle of the flag of Japan
"Oh... Yeah" I said between laughs
"I'm leaving now dear, your mom needs me, it's already 7:51pm you should come down for dinner" he suggested, winked at me and left my room
Privacyyyyyyyy!!!! Yayyy

The dinner was spent arguing with my mom until I got really mad"Can you stop comparing me with my sister! We're two different people, don't you get it?" I shouted back at my mom. Now nobody on the table is eating. My sister doesn't leave with us so..
"Shut up. She's a better daughter than you" my mom said
"At least I didn't get pregnant at 16 and decide to abort it because of shame. Tell that to your better daughter Mother!" I said every word with venom
My mom was speechless, I slammed the table and stormed up to my room
"I can't believe she's comparing me to Tola" I mumbled under my breath
I got my phone from my bedstand and decided to call my only supporter except for my dad
Well that is my best friend Stella Coker
She picked up after the second ring
"Hey girl" Stella said
"Hi, can you please visit me tomorrow. It's Sunday. Puh-lease, don't say no!" I told her
"Okay, chill. On one condition" she said
"Which is?" I raised my perfectly carved eyebrow
"I need a big jar of peanut butter and chocolates too" she said and I laughed at her
"Sure"
"I'll see you tomorrow by 10. Okay. Bye" she said
"Bye. I love you"
"I love you too, stupid" I wanted to reply but she hung up before I could.
I tossed my phone on the other side of my bed and drifted to sleep
