Monty's pov

I pace around the room. They finally let others in to see lydia. Everyone was sat down. Hannah was by lydia's side. It had been a few weeks and she still hadn't woken up. "Mon you gotta calm down." Jess sighs.

"Leave him jess." Scott says.

Sherri was completely broken after Jeff. She still came with us to visit lydia but she was always crying or she never talked to anyone except for Scott. "Hey kids." Mr baker says as he and Mrs baker walked in.

We all mumbled a hi. Two other people walked in with them. A women and a young girl.

'Hey your river right?" Jess says.

River nods. "Yea your jess." Jess gives her a smile.

Hannah gets up and hugs river then says hi to the women. "Kids this is lydia's mom sasha." Mrs baker says.

We all greet her except for me. I knew things the others didn't. "Why is she here." I growl.

"Monty!" Jess says.

"What it's not like she actually cares." I grumble.

Everyone looks at me wide eyed. "I'm sorry he's just stressed." Zach says.

She nods her head. "Its OK I deserve it." She mumbles.

"Does anyone want any food we brought pizza." Mr baker said.

Everyone nods and goes to grab a slice.

"Mon you gotta eat." Charlie says.

"Fuck you." I growl.

"Sorry for him." Jess says.

I sit back down next to lydia holding her hand I lay my head down on her chest like I do when Im upset. Jess sits next to me and pats my back. "She's gonna be OK Mon." She whispers.

I nod my head. I know."

It's just me and river in the room right now everyone had gone home for a while. "So you love her?" She asks.

"Yea why?"

"Well she's a lucky girl."

"Thanks I guess."

"I was her best friend back home." She says.

I nod my head. "Yea I know." I pause then ask her "hey do you know anything about this John guy?"

She chuckles. "My God only the hottest guy at our school we all thought lydia and John were gonna date but then she moved out of the blue." She says.

I guess she didn't know. "Right."

Zach and hannah walk in. "Hey your back." River says.

"And we brought drinks and McDonald's." Zach says.

We chuckle. "Hey how are your parents letting you stay here like all night." River says.

I look at Zach for a minute.  "Oh you know..they understand." I mutter.

She nods her head. "Right."

One of the doctors come in and tell us there's a new visitor. We all look confused but think it's one of the students paying there respects of something. We let then in.

"Hey man." A familiar voice says.

I look up and give him a death glare. "Get the fuck out right now." I growl.

Zach holds onto hannah tighter while river just looks confused. "Hey he's just here to see her damn." She says.

"I'm just here to say sorry man." Bryce chuckles.
