Good thing the Food City was just feets away. Its just an open franchise of different kinds of snacks which is actually three buildings away from my school.
We stop running when we realized we are chasing the air.
"Drake, it's really fun. Thank you," she said in between her breathing.
"For what?," I said, fixing my hair.
"The happiness you gave to me," then she hugged herself.
I unwear my blue hoodie and put it into her arms. I can feel her hair brushed into my nostrils. Wow, she really have a nice scent of shampoo. When she turned back, I immediately pretended that I was using my phone.
"What are you doing?"
"Telling my mom that I need some fresh air."
The people in Alcott are always hang theirselves in the Fodd City, no wonder there are so many people here. I grabbed her hand and together, we observe the things around us. From my view, I can see happy families, buying some sweet candies for their children. There was also a numerous of sweet couples publicly displaying their affection towards each other.
When I looked at Margaux, she keeps spinning her head from left and right. It seems, it was her first time to be in this kind of place.
Until I decide to stopped at the ice cream stand.
"Wanna eat ice cream?," I asked her but she was still busy looking at the kid eating cotton candy then a friendly average woman flashed in my front asking if what flavor will I buy. Suddenly, I just declined her and walked away with Margaux.
"Do you want that?," pointing to the big cotton candy and she nodded.
We walked towards it, still holding each other hands.
"I like that one," she said.
The lady vendor pointed the candy for assurance and gave it to Margaux.
After I paid, she still doesn't eat the candy so I grabbed a piece of it and eat. No doubt, she got surprised. She doesn't know that this thing can't be eaten.
And here's the weirder side of her.
