BETRAYAL.

Klaus obviously doesn't take that lightly. Betrayal was a sensitive subject to anybody, but for Klaus, it was at another level. Emilia sensed that he had extreme trust or abandonment issues from how he talked about betrayal, so she didn't want to push the subject further. She knew it was best not to get on his bad side from the stories he told.

When the waiter came back with the food, it looked exquisite and divine. There were bite-sized samplings of many different foods that she couldn't wait to try. On the other hand, Klaus's side of the table was completely empty. Klaus noticed this and beckoned the waiter over. Klaus turned to Emilia and looked at the knife she was holding to cut her food. "Emilia may I borrow that."

Emilia looks to her knife not wanting to give it to him just in case he planned on doing something to her. "Klaus, what do you want with my knife?"

"Relax love, you'll be fine. Dinner is always better with a show."

She relaxed just slightly and gave Klaus the knife. Klaus turned to the waiter. He grabbed the waiter's head and looked into his eyes. "I want you to take this knife. Cut your hand open and pour me some blood."

The waiter did exactly as he was told and poured his blood into Klaus's goblet. Emilia grimaced not liking the events that were transpiring. "You squeamish, love?"

"Not really it was more the way it happened."

"Oh, Emilia, you asked for this deal, so really you asked to see these things." Klaus then speeds behind the waiter's back and starts to feed viciously from his neck. Emilia's face paled as Klaus lifted his head from the waiter's neck with blood covering his face. "Love, can I borrow your napkin please?"

Emilia quickly passed Klaus her napkin. Once his face was clean, Klaus immediately ditched her to go talk to other more important people. However, before Klaus left the room he compelled the waiters to wait outside and make sure she doesn't leave. Sadly, Emilia spent the night just picking at her food just a little too disgusted to feast on fancy French food.

For the next several weeks, Klaus and Emilia formed some sort of routine. Emilia would sit in an office-like room in complete silence working on whatever Klaus instructed her to do while Klaus did who knows what. Klaus did leave her some vampire door-blocking company. However, she couldn't talk to them, not because she didn't want to but because they were compelled to stay silent, not acknowledge her presence, and also not to let her leave the room. After the first day when Klaus forgot to let her eat because all the room had was blood bags, she convinced him to give her fifteen-minute breaks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even that was pretty hard. Nonetheless, every day she could write a list of things to ask one of the vampires stationed to pick up for food. Then he would bring it and Emilia would have it for food.

However, Emilia was so caught up in whatever Klaus was making her do that she didn't notice that Zach and even her mom didn't bother to text her once and ask where she's been. But today, for the first time ever, Emilia was given a day off for some random reason. But nonetheless, like any normal teen, the first thing Emilia did was pull out her phone. She had one single text on her entire phone from her mother sent the week before. The text read:
