"I'm such an idiot the way I behaved to you before, and then crying tonight...." I said.
"Don't you cry much?" Drake brushed a tear off my face with his fingertip.
"It's sort of a habit of mine," I said, realizing i hadn't cried since the divorce. Simply I had shut off my feelings--until tonight.
"Well," he cupped my chin and looked at me with his warm hazel eyes,"crying's a good thing to do when you're sad." He smiled and gave me a hug. "At first I thought you were those stuck-up chicks who only cares about herself. I never thought I'd see you crying for koala bears."
"I think I had myself all wrong, too. And I'm really sorry about--"
"No!" Drake said firmly, putting a finger on my lips. "Stop apologizing. Everything that happened before tonight is forgotten, understood?"
I managed a smile. "Understood."
