She hummed her favourite song as she walked down the pavement. She was still in her neighbourhood that she saw everyday for so many years, she walked down the same path atleast once everyday, on some days multiple times. She knew the ways so well that she could start running blindfolded and still not get lost. But today everything around her seemed refreshing and new. It made her feel funny inside, all giddy and jolly. Usually in those one paragraph stories, following these descriptions comes a touching or deep lines like "... and she fell in love with herself again." But she didn't think twice about all this and accepted it as naturally as it came.

She was on her way to school. Yes, there were a lot of things way stranger than what she was feeling. Her school bag filled with books and supplies pulled her down, but she ignored it and skipped. The stationary crashing against each other caused a fairly audible rhythm on the quiet morning which was quite off-beat to her humming, but she was too absorbed in the song to care too much, though she noticed it.

Even though she didn't particularly like going to school, it was not uncommon for her get such a feeling. The opposite also happens, when she is feeling like something bad is awaiting in front of her, or sad as if she had done something really bad. On those days she tries to do some extra good deeds to get some extra karma as protection against whatever bad awaits her.

By the time she reached school, she had stopped humming and was more interested thinking about the little dog family she saw on the way. Lost in thoughts on where they usually spend the night, how they snuggle against each other when it's cold, places they look when they are hungry, casual conversations they hold with each other. Until another song from her playlist appeared in her head as she entered school.
