Chapter 13: Why not?

The next day the class went on a field trip to Forever Falls.

Alex: This really actually does look nice.

Glynda: (to the group) Yes, students, the forest of Forever Falls is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked all of you to collect samples from the trees deep inside this forest, and I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so.

Cameron: Alex, why did you bring another jar?

Alex: Why not?

Nathan: Yeah, but why do you need it?

Alex: Because I want to try and put it on my pancakes.

Cameron: It's not syrup.

Suddenly Nora pops out of no where.

Nora: (gasp) YOU'RE A GENIUS.

Alex: Yep.

Ren: Nora.

Nora: Coming Ren.

Brandon: Isn't some of them poisonous?

Alex: Well, you see bears eating it.

Nathan: That doesn't mean-

Glynda: Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of red sap. However, this forest is full of the creatures of Grimm, so be sure to stay by your teammates. We will rendezvous back here at 4 o'clock. Have fun!

Alex: You guys ready?

Nathan: Yeah...

Brandon: How do we even get the sap?

Cameron: Did you not listen?

After some time of explaining and trying to get the sap team CABN managed to get it done without any problems occurring.

Alex: I was kinda expecting to be fighting but nothing happened.

Cameron: I mean, do you eeally wanna fight?

Alex: Yes.

Brandon: Wait, are Grimms attracted to this stuff?

Cameron: Yeah, they should be.

Brandon: Hey Alex.

Brandon turns around to see Alex sniffing the sap.

Brandon: Really?

Alex: What?

Cameron: What does it smell like?

Alex: Strawberry roasted by pine tree wood.

Nathan: Why pine tree?

Alex: Either that or a cactus.

Cameron: What the fuck

Brandon: You smelled a cactus?

Alex: No, but I feel like it would smell like this.

Everyone in team CABN was confused for a whole minute just to process what he said and felt like they loss brain cells doing so.
