The creatures in the woods

Chapter 1

~Emily Harrison's pov~
There a new case, of missing teens. I'm in charge of the case. They could be dead. That thought is terrifying. The group was last seen wearing light grey sweat pants and black sweaters all wearing the same thing. Seemed they were playing a game out in the woods. The phone of one of the teens was found in the car of the teens. 

The messages that lead to their disappearance were interesting that's all I can say.  'Tonight we'll go' 'Slender forest, pick you up' 'Everything is planned we can't chicken out this time' the messages end there.  Somethings odd they give off a certain vibe I just can't put my finger on it maybe . . . fear no that's not it. . . these teens didn't want to be there maybe it was a dare. 

I spent the day searching up this place.  The slender forest is all I put in and hundreds of missing case files showed up.  Videos of people flooding the forest and getting caught and dragged. Pictures of the people in the woods with pale skin and tall and slender creatures.  The pictures getting better the deeper I look into them. 

Something is giving me a creepy vibe.  The group was always pictured as killing and stabbing something.  There was a picture of a house or more like mansion windows blocked off with wood boards and old garbage.  The lighting was rather bad, there was a video attached to a YouTube link.  The cameraman was shaking and running after about half an hour there was screaming. 

The camera was picked up and a pale face was shown a smile carved into his face.  The eyes were piercing into the watcher's souls. The pale face man yelled over to someone and they walked over slowly. Stopping and staring at the camera making chills go down my spine. The video ended with the screaming of the man. Shocking me I packed up and went home to do more research without my co-workers walking in on me watching this.

It was interesting these people or beings they seem to be following orders and enjoying the killing. A certain video popped up the video was of a group of teens how it was uploaded I have no Idea. It was an hour-long for about 30 minutes they were walking around with flashlights and joking around.  The audio was cut and you could hear whispers. The teens heard it too.

They were fixing the audio when it cut to their shocked faces.  They started running losing a few on the way.  You could hear the screams from those who were left behind.  The ultimate fear in the voices of these teens was concerning. What was chasing them?  The camera screen cracked as it hit the forest ground.  The camera was picked up again and brought back with the boys to the mansion.

The boys were seen in the cell after about 10 minutes.  The camera was taken away by the group.  The guy set it in a room.  Probably not realizing it was still recording.  The guy came back a few minutes later with a couple of his friends.  Walked to the camera and picked it up noticing finally it was recording.  Chills went down, my spine something was up it was like he was staring into my soul.

The group proceeded to walk out.  And walked back in when there were at least 7 minutes left. The video ended with the group smashing the camera.   I was shocked by what I had just seen.   I went to get more coffee more research needed to be done.  A past life was up next it was 3 hours long starting with people entering the woods.

The chat blowing up with a warning to get out of there.  They didn't listen I could already tell they weren't going to make it out.  The end didn't surprise me as much as it should have. The stream could see them be murdered.  Everyone started clicking off as soon as the scene started.  I ended up staying until the end when again they grabbed the phone.   And walked away.

Coffee defiantly going to be needed.  More information was to be gained in this case.  An email was sent out to me with all the previous cases of missing/dead people in that certain location. There were hundreds of cases each year.   Starting in 2000 usually people in groups or a rare case of a single person going missing/dead.
–Time skip a few hours–
The cases we're . . . how do I say this interesting.  21,346 cases, about 25%of the cases were adults.  50% of the cases were teens and 25% were children left by parents.  The cases got more popular around 2003.  Or more like an increase in cases.  2012 was the year when cases became more violent and more people died in a time period of two months than in the total of all the 2000s.  2 people out of 21 346 survived and successfully got away but they refuse to talk about the incident   I don't know how I feel about these cases. 

The two later killed themselves after people were pressuring them to talk about the killers. Just thinking about the killers made them have memories and nightmares.  They died later in the hospital.  The mystery that started to grow with each email I sent to my boss about the cases more questions arose in my head. 

Those questions got dark when a notification popped up saying I got an email.  I opened it up instead of words as I expected it was an image.  I froze . . . it was of a body . . . and the image has dated the date today 'July, 20th 2018'. The email address was not familiar and I ended up emailing back. Asking where they got this image as the image was a human with their organs out and blood all around them.
