I thought Leighton wanting to kiss me was just the alcohol talking especially after she was so against it not long before that. But when she was so persistent with it I knew the alcohol was just what she needed to help her decide what she really wanted, and that was to kiss me. It was our best kiss yet. I think I'm catching feelings for her, real feelings. After our kiss, I put Leighton down.
"Mmm. I love it when we practice." Leighton says, licking her lips.
"Me too." I say.
I pull her under my arm.
"On second thought, I'll save you from James nagging at you for being drunk for tonight at least, you can sleep in one of the bedrooms upstairs."
"Thanks."
"No problem." I say, leading her upstairs.
"Can I sleep in your bed so we can cuddle?" She asks.
"If your brother finds out, he will shit his pants."
"Let him shit his pants."
"Fine. Only because I get cold at night and you will keep me warm."
"Yay!"
I find her a big tee shirt of mine in my closet to wear and I give her my mom's makeup wipes to clean up a little before bed. Then I tuck her in and head back downstairs, telling her I'll be up soon. Two hours later, I am back in my room, and Leighton is curled up asleep. I strip down to my boxers and crawl under the covers. Leighton groans and stretches and then throws her leg and arm over me. She nestles into my arm, her head on my chest. I run my hand through her hair, stretching it out behind her head so it's out of her face. And then we both fall asleep, together.
I wake up the next morning and look at Leighton cuddled up next to me. She looked so cute and peaceful as she slept. Damn it Jaxon, this is your best friend's little sister we're talking about here, James would be so pissed if he knew about this. With that thought, I slowly slid my arm out from under her head, hoping she wouldn't wake up, but she did. She did a cute morning stretch and yawned, then she leaned up on her elbow to look at me with a big smile on her face.
"What're you smiling so big for?" I ask.
She dulls her smile, and I feel bad for mentioning it, her smile is so cute, fuck me, Jaxon get it together.
"I can't smile?" She asks.
"Of course you can."
"Don't let my smile fool you, I feel like shit and my head is pounding."
"Yep, you're hungover. Do you remember anything from last night?"
"Kinda, but it's a little blurry. I know I begged you to kiss me."
"Yeah, you did do that." I say with a laugh.
"Shut up." She says playfully, rolling her eyes.
"Well we better get up and get the day started. I got James off your back last night and told him you were sleeping here because you got drunk. He might scold you about it today though, I made him promise that he wouldn't tell your mom and that he would take it easy on you about it." I say.
"Aw thanks, that's sweet."
"No problem." I say, getting out of bed.
"Do you know how to get rid of this headache?" She asks.
"Advil."
"Ok. I don't want to get changed back into my uncomfortable dress from the party last night, can I just keep your tee shirt on? It's cute as a t-shirt dress, don't ya think?"
"Yeah, you can keep it. And, you look cute in anything, so yes it's cute as a t-shirt dress." I say, mentally punching myself for being a dumb ass and letting that slip out.
"You think I look cute in anything?" She asks, I peek back to see her smiling and blushing.
"Yeah, sure." I say.
"Well you do too." She says.
And then I find myself smiling and blushing.
"Thanks." I say.
As she sits in bed, I go downstairs to get her two Advil's and a glass of water, and bring it back up. She is on her phone when I walk in.
"What's up?" She asks.
"Went to get you a glass of water and some Advil's." I say, holding them out to her.
"Aw, thanks." She says, popping the Advil's in her mouth.
I hand her the water next, and she gulps it down.
"You're welcome, headache should be gone soon." I say.
"You're the best fake boyfriend ever."
"You're the best fake girlfriend ever."
