Todoroki's POV

The school's cafeteria felt dull compared to usual, my phone glued to my hands as I waited for Amara to text me. My worried thoughts zipped around so quickly that I didn't even notice the group of friends who had taken seats around me.

"Hey Todoroki, I heard rumors that you and Amara are dating. Is that true?" Kirishima asked, sitting next to me. My eyes flickered from him to Yaoyorozu, Jirou, and Kaminari, who had invited themselves to my table.

"Yes, that is true," I replied, not in the mood for conversation. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Kirishima leaning toward me, only for him to sling his whole arm around my shoulder and pull me closer.

"How did you manage to get such a hot girlfriend? Tell me your secrets," he inquired.

"If you're after girl advice, I'm not the one you should be asking," I told him, grabbing his wrist and lifting his arm off me.

"Where is Amara anyway? She hasn't been in class since the sports festival," Jirou asked. She crossed her arms and leaned on the table. I quickly turned my phone's screen on, looking at its empty screen in silent disappointment.

"She's still unconscious," I said, my voice lowering as I glanced down at the table. Instinctively, I folded my arms around myself and slunk back in my seat. I heard startled gasps from the small group of friends before me.

"Still!?" Kirishima exclaimed, furrowing his brows. "Oi, Bakugo!" he yelled out. I felt my eyebrow twitch at the sound of his name.

"What!?" Bakugo angrily shrieked from another table within my vision.

"What the hell did you do to Amara?" Kirishima yelled. Bakugo's red eyes glanced at me before quickly averting back to the food sprawled out in front of him. I heard him grunt before he swiftly stood up and stormed out of the room. I sent daggers with my eyes to the back of his figure as he left.

"The doctors think she collapsed from exhaustion from overusing her quirk," I sighed.

"Wow, so she is human," Yaoyorozu mumbled. I averted my gaze at her; she rested her chin on her hand, looking bored.

"What a stupid thing to say. Of course, she is human," I glared at her. "She would've won the whole competition if she wasn't worried about hurting anyone."

"She was holding back?" Jirou said, physically shuddering. "I don't know; she seemed very strong to me."

"It's pretty crazy that she hasn't woken up yet," Kirishima rubbed the back of his neck nervously before cracking a friendly smile.

"Todoroki, have you eaten lunch today?" Yaoyorozu asked me.

"No," I trailed off, rubbing my eyes gently. "I haven't been feeling hungry." I replied before checking my phone again through a hazy vision.

"Don't mother him, Yaoyorozu. He can do whatever he wants," Jirou defended. I felt Kirishima place his hand on my shoulder as he continued to wear that ridiculous smile of his.

"I'm sure she will wake up soon, buddy," he comforted.

"I'm sure she will."

Amara's POV

"How are you feeling, dear?" Recovery Girl asked as I sat up straight in the white bed. She sat comfortably on her desk chair, her face blooming into a warm grin.

"I feel like I've been put through a blender," I sluggishly said, the room spinning slowly around me.

"You've been asleep for three and a half days, so don't push yourself, dear."
