I signed in on the clipboard at the front desk and handed the officer my ID. He looked at it and back up at me. "Minnie Montana, you here to see Oscar Diaz?" I nodded, "Yeah, that's what I wrote down, didn't I?" He smirked at me. "What you here to see him for? You need to be here seeing me." I laughed at him. "Sweetie do you know who Oscar Diaz is?"
"Nah, he somebody important or something?"
I nodded, "He definitely is." Maybe I can use this to my advantage. I smiled at him and bit my lip slightly. "You know what? What would it take for you to do some favors for Oscar while he's here?" The officer smiled hard at me. "I mean, if you willing to some favors for me, then I wouldn't mind doing some favors for you." "That's what I like to hear."
I continued to flirt with him until another officer came up front. "Minnie Montana?" "That's me." "Follow me ma'am." I winked at the front desk officer and waved bye to him as I followed the other officer to the visitation area. He opened the door for me and I walked in and chose a seat. "The inmate will be in shortly." I nodded.
After a few minutes I heard doors being opened and I heard the rattle of handcuffs. Not a moment later, there he stood. Six foot one. Bald head, teardrop tattoo. He squinted at me with his beautiful light brown eyes from behind those long eyelashes. He looked at the officer and then turned around so the officer could take off the handcuffs. As soon as they were off he sat down in the seat across from me and picked up the telephone on his side.
I quickly picked up the telephone on my end and put it to my ear. I couldn't stop staring at him. He was so gorgeous. "You Rio sister?" I nodded my head. "Okay. Is something wrong?" I shook my head no. "Can you talk?" I nodded, "I mean, yes. Sorry. Yes, I can talk. And no, nothing is wrong. I just wanted to come and check on you."
He sat back in his chair and looked at me. "So there's nothing wrong with anybody?" I shook my head again. "No, everyone is fine." "So what you want from me?" I squirmed in the chair a little. Oscar was always so intimidating and direct. "I want to make sure that you're okay. I have a few connections in here. Do you need anything? Are they letting you use the phone now?" He nodded, "Yeah, Mr. Perez made sure to that." "Oh, I just thought, since you weren't calling Riella anymore.." "That wasn't the jails decision, that was mine." "Is everything okay with you two?" "Yeah. I just, it's hard hearing her voice sometimes and not being able to be there with her."
His face softened up when he was talking about Riella. I could see it right there. She was his weakness. I needed to change that up. I needed to change how he felt about her, how he viewed her. I needed to change the image in his mind that he had of her. "Well, I mean, you can call me. I can still give you the information you need. I know you need Santos information and a lot of them fools numbers banned from calling the jail." He nodded, "Yeah, that would be helpful." "Okay, well I'll leave my number for them to pass to you." "Appreciate that." He sat up in his chair and leaned forward a little bit. "Um, so, how is Riella?"
I had to catch myself from almost rolling my eyes at his question. "She's doing good. She's actually been spending a lot of time with my brother. They're so cute when they hang out." I could see him getting upset. "Yeah, he's taking her grocery shopping right now actually." He just nodded, he didn't say anything. "Rio is trying to make sure he looks after her, like you asked him to." He nodded again.
"Our visitation time is almost up, but do you need money on your commissary or anything?" He shook his head. "I'm good. Can you just tell Riella I'm sorry and I miss her."
Ugh, I wanted to gag. "Not a problem. I will if I can pry her away from Rio long enough." I smiled at him and then the officer came in. "Alright Diaz. Visitation is over, let's go." Oscar stood up to let the officer put the cuffs back on him. "Do you want me to come again this week?" He hesitated for a moment, but then he nodded. I couldn't help but smile really wide. "Okay. I'll see you soon."
This was progress, but not enough progress for me. I need to make things move faster. I need Oscar to have that look on his face when he thinks about me, not Riella. Riella was going to be Rio's soon, so Oscar will just have to get over her. I walked out of the visitation room and back up to the front desk. I smiled at the officer that was flirting with me earlier. "So, here's my number. Write it down twice. Keep one copy for yourself and make sure that Oscar Diaz gets a copy too. If he doesn't get my number, then don't even think about using it. Got it?"
He nodded, "No problem." He smiled at me as I walked out.
