So, I guess I should start from the beginning. When I met Bobby, I was on a boring schedule same thing everyday kind of place. I met him one day at the end of my last class for the day, I was walking smoking a cigarette when he came out of what seemed like nowhere. "Do you have an extra Ciggy I could get?" He said.
It took me a second to realize he was talking to me, I don't have many friends and the ones I do live back home in Ohio, not here in Colorado. He snapped his fingers, "You good bro?" He asked.
I turned to face him, "Oh, uh. You were talking to me?" I asked.
He sighed, "No man, I was talking to Professor X."
I took a breath. "Oh, my bad then." I said. And I started to walk away.
He chased after me. "Wait wait... I was talking to you, did you really think I was talking to professor X from X-men?!"
I laughed, "Of course not, I just believe in being literal, as in saying what you mean, meaning what you say, sarcasm doesn't sit well with me."
He smacked his head. "Well, in that case, Do you have a cigarette that I could smoke? I lost my pack and don't have the money right now for more."
I smiled. "Yes, of course you can have one, I know the struggle." I handed him a Marlboro Black.
He grinned. "Oh thank God! I thought you might be a Marlboro light smoker."
I winced at that comment. "What gives you that impression? Is that how you thank people by low key insulting them?"
He laughed. "No, I'm just teasing you bro, Thank you for the ciggy you saved me, my last class has me stressed, damn history."
I sighed not really in interest in making friends just getting back to my dorm to study. "You're welcome." I started to walk away.
He ran after me again. "Wait, what's your name?" I turned to face him.
I thought for a second, do I tell him my stupid nickname or my real name? "The names Wow." I decided.
He laughed hard, tears in his eyes he said, "That was funny, nice joke; but what's your real name?"
I frowned at him. "Well, that's my nickname, my biological name is William-."
He interrupted me. "Alright Will! Want to be friends? I am pretty cool once you get to know me! You'll see give me a chance."
I sighed. "Well, I have to go study bu-"
He interrupted me again. "Fuck that!" He laughed. "Come with me I know where there is a good party." He signaled for me to follow him.
I thought for a second, I could use a break but I needed to study. "You know what, I'm in!" I went with him.

                                         •••

After the party the next day, I slept in for the first time since before I was in middle school. I had a hangover from hell, but I wanted to do it again; Late to my first class and feeling sick but something about spending time with him, drinking and just having fun got me. I loved it. I KNEW I'd end up doing it again.

After class that day, I ran into him again but intentionally. "Hey, Bobby! What's up man?"
He turned to face me. "Oh shit, what's up Willy-boi, you enjoy the party last night?"
I smiled. "I'll tell you what man, I haven't ever had that much fun, when I tell you that I am dead serious."
He laughed for a second then got a super serious look on his face. "I know..." He burst into laughter.
I gave him an annoyed face. "That's not funny... Asshole." I slapped him on the back a bit harder than he expected; He stumbled.
He glared at me. "That was dick move muscles. You can obviously see I'm a little guy, now who's the 'Asshole', huh?"
I smiled. "Still you man, that's 100% you hands down."
He grinned back. "Yeah, you're probably right, but who knows?"
I handed him a piece of paper, I wrote my contact information on it my second class when I was feeling a bit better.
He looked at me confused. "What is this for? Are you asking me on a date, cuz I'm not gay."
I smacked my palm to my head. "Don't friends usually keep in contact or am I mistaken and just made a fool of myself?"
He read the paper. "Haha, I'm just messing with you, yeah, they normally do. So, we're friends now?"
I thought for a second on what I just did. I liked the idea of having a friend as cool as him. "Yeah for sure, we need to hang out more."
He grinned. "See, I told you you'd like me if you gave me a chance!"
I nodded in agreement. "Yes sir, yes you in fact did. So what are we doing today?"
He got a devilish grin on his face. "You'll be experiencing something new tonight!"
I gave him a confused look. "Uh, what do you mean by that...?"
His expression didn't change, at the time I didn't think it was a good thing. "You'll see."
I frowned. "Okay, I'll trust you this time." I nervously laughed.
