The child died in terrible pain,
Something inside her was fully aflame,
What they found in her tummy was a shock to us all,
Tiny grains of glass smashed up very small,Everybody knew the neighbor didn't like children,
But we didn't expect the child to go in,
The peanut butter sandwich was so very crunchy,
We lost a little girl so sweet and pretty,Six years young was not long to live,
I was a child myself but I just can't forgive,
I think about the whole thing every now and then,
A recurring memory l know will never end,I still see the screams of her mother at the funeral,
Begging her to come back knowing she never will,
Screaming and shouting at GOD for giving her the child,
Her arms were flailing as she moved about so wild,
"GOD why did you give me this child?
GOD why did you take away my child?
Come back my baby come back to me,
I'll love you more my baby I'll love you more you'll see."Six years young was not enough to live,
Six years young, l really cannot forgive...Composed and written by Daryl Gounder. 28/6/2007
