"Jennifer."
"Dylan."
We were seated across each other in a cafe. "I just-" we both started and laughed awkwardly.
"You go first." He said "no, please, you." I told him.
"Okay... so it's been a wild ride." He started, I scoffed but he decided to ignore my reaction and continue his spiel "and I'm sorry for making it confusing. Even I didn't know where we were headed." He sighed. I nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly.
"That's why I think-"
"That we should stay friends?" I finished for him, and he nodded.
"Thank goodness" I sighed in relief. He looked a bit hurt but at that point I couldn't care less, I was just glad that there was finally SOME clearance between us. If this was a book you'd think that the author of my story had absolutely no idea where this was headed. *cough* 👀 *cough*"Well...I guess I'll just...go." Dylan said awkwardly. "See you around" I smiled, my heart feeling lighter already.
You see, sometimes not all stories have to end with a romance. At least not this one. You don't have to rush into anything just because "fate" decided it, you choose your own fate. You make your own choices. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
The end.
So hey guys not sure if any of u are still keeping up with this story but here's the thing, I started this story when I was like... 15 and now I'm 19 and I have no idea how I wanted to end it. So I hope that this ending was...exactly that, an ending. Who knows, maybe 5-10 years from now I'll look back at this and re write it but for now I hope that this ending ends your hope for more chapters. Maybe I wanted to add some drama between Dylan and Jennifer before she eventually ended up with Bryan but to me that makes absolutely no sense because like...uh...nvm it makes sense if I make a plot but I'm lazy okay and this story needs to end. Thanks for reading #Highschool and #College (by gum even the titles are so...)
Maybe I'll re write this, maybe I won't, who knows?for now, this is the ending.
