― Do you need something else, Jungkook ? asked the maid while serving me a cup of water.

― No I'm fine, thank you for this delicious breakfast.

She bowed then left me eating alone at this big table. I've never understood the importance of preparing ten meals just for three people living in this house.

I suddenly felt someone wrapping his arms around me and kissing my cheek. I quickly moved away to see Mia's dumb face smiling at me.

― Good morning, darling !

I rolled my eyes and ignored her.

― It's a beautiful day to spend with a lover, isn't it ?

I glanced at the window as I saw the sunshine lighting up the clouds, the sky was indeed very beautiful and gave me the summer vibe even though it's winter.

― Let's go to the movies today ! she cheerfully said.

― I've got a lot of work today, Mia. Just go with your friends.

― They're busy too...

― Then go alone.

Her face started turning red and I understood that I was about to be lectured again.

― Who goes to the cinema alone ?! Why can't you understand that I need you ? We're getting married for god's sake !

She slammed the table so hard that my cup was at two inches of falling. If she keeps screaming like a dead bird in my ears, I swear to god I will smash this fucking table on her face. I rarely have any regrets, but agreeing to be her fiancé is certainly one of them !

― Mia, you better sit down and eat. I'm not in the mood to argue with you about going to the cinema.

My cold tone made her finally shut her mouth. She whispered a few inaudible words and then sat down in front of me, she started eating but her eyes were still fixed on me. I knew she was waiting for me to apologize, which I certainly won't.

My phone started ringing and I immediately got up from my seat knowing who was calling me.

― Who's calling you ? A woman ? asked Mia curiously.

I know Mia had feelings for me, way before our fathers deal. But she should also know that I'll never share her feelings and I couldn't care less about what she or our fathers think. So I ignored her stupid jealousy and answered Jimin's call.

― Hyung ? Are you outside ?

Yes, I'm waiting for you.

― Coming right now.

I put my phone inside my pocket and the maid quickly rushed towards me with my coat in hands. I thanked her and glanced at Mia who looked desperate. I knew her since we were kids, at some age we were friends, but then we grew up and her feelings did as well. Although I made super clear the day I knew she felt something for me that it will never be reciprocal.

Therefore, I'll never understand why she was excited when our parents decided to arrange the engagement. How could she be happy knowing she'll marry someone who'll never love her.
