Beginning of the Provisional Exam

Hikari

I stood there, frozen. I always thought Midoriya was more of a punching type, not a kicking type. I moved over closer to him to hear his explanation why.

"Well, I was a puncher, but Iida's been teaching me how to use my legs so that I won't risk damaging my arms anymore," Midoriya said.

I frowned a little. From what I had heard, if Midoriya used his arms too many times, he could risk not being able to move them ever again. I guess this was good for him to learn how to use his legs to fight now.

Then Vlad King walked in with Kendo and Monoma, saying that it was time for their class to use the gym to work on their ultimate moves. Then Mr. Aizawa and him got into a huge debate on the provisional license exam and started explaining it to us, which we did not ask for.

"Our classes will not be at the same location. The rule is that only one class per school is allowed in the same location, so you will not be battling each other. You will also be up against other schools from around Japan, so don't think this is just battle each other and leave."

People from different schools, huh? I thought. Well, this is going to be great. And we're taking the test earlier than most students, so our class is at quite a disadvantage.

"That's right," Mr. Aizawa said.

I felt my face turn red. Had I said that all out loud?

"Only a handful of first years try for a provisional license, and very few get one. This means you will be going up against students who have had more time to train and have quirks that you don't know about, and those quirks are powerful. Don't get too caught up about that, but do keep it in mind."

"Yes, sir!" we shouted.

Later that night, us girls were sitting in the commons area, talking about our training. Toru was asking everyone about our new ultimate moves, but when we got to Ochaco, something seemed... off.

"What? Yeah! Everything's going awesome!" she said a little too loudly. Then she looked down. "At least, that's what I usually would say. Recently my heart's been stirred up about something..."

"IT'S LOVE!!!" Mina exclaimed.

Ochaco's face turned bright red. She leaned back, waved her hands in front of her face and shouted, "What did you say? Glove? Shove? Dove? What's that? Never seen one!"

"So who is it, Midoriya or Iida? I noticed that you're always hanging out with them," Mina said.

Ochaco pressed her hands to her face to hide her blush. "You've got it all wrong, you guys!" She began floating in the air with her hands still pressed against her face.

"C'mon, which is it?" Toru asked. "Or, is it someone else...?"

"Yeah, just spill it," Kyoka said. "You know we're not giving up until we know who."

I looked down, my face beginning to feel hot.

Okay, Hikari, if Ochaco spills, you're going to spill too, I thought. Everyone would be so mad if they found out I liked Bakugo and didn't tell them.

"Come on, guys, we shouldn't press her," Tsuyu said.

"You're right," Momo said, standing up. "And more importantly, it's getting late. We should call it a night and go to bed."

"And besides, it's not like I know anything about dating," Ochaco said, still floating above us near the window.

"What! No way!" Mina said. "You spring a hint of romance on us and now you expect me to go to sleep!?"
