Chapter 13 - Relighting Old Fires

It had been a week since Niall had left for London. We had skyped nearly everyday, for hours on end. He seemed so happy to be doing something he loved! Everyday he'd tell me what they had done, and I had spoken to a couple of the other boys as well. They all seemed really nice, especially Liam and Harry. Harry was definetely a ladies man, as Niall had said he had got at least 2 girls numbers everytime they went out partying. But Liam just seemed so sincere and lovely, like a big brother. Louis and Zayn I hadn't really gotten to know, but the few times we exchanged hey's they seemed really fun and energetic. Niall cannot praise them enough. I just haven't got the chance to tell him what I'm doing, how I'm feeling, and how it's tearing me apart inside that he is living his dream, and I'm stuck here, missing him like hell. But he doesn't need to know my troubles. No one does.

*Monday morning, 11:15, break time*

I was sat in the toilets with Teri and Charlie, as Lauren had to go and see a teacher about missing homework or something. but we were just sat on the floor, texting and checking the tweets we had received and Twitter, when I read a tweet: 'New internet sensations, One Direction, are beating the likes of Justin Bieber in video views.'

Who are One Direction? There was a link to an article, so I clicked and read on. I was always partial to fangirling over a boyband, so I thought these would be new ones to persue. The article read:

'New internet sensations One Direction, consisting of Harry Styles, 18, Liam Payne, 19, Louis Tomlinson 20, Zayn Malik, 19 and Niall Horan, 19, are taking the world by storm after uploading covers of songs such as Rihanna's Only Girl In The World, and Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck Without You. They are even beating Justin Bieber in the most views in 24 hrs record, reaching 23 million views. Are these boys from London the next big boyband? Only time will tell.'

I broke down, I literally breathed in and tears started streaming down my face. The wouldn't stop. Teri and Charlie noticed me crying and came over to see what was wrong. 'Niall's getting famous. He's in a new band and their getting popular. He's never going to want to see me again now! Not now he can mingle with the other, more famous, more prettier girls. I'll just be a girlfriend that will fade into a distant memory. Oh god.' And with that I legged it out of the toilet and started running down the corridor. I wasn't looking where I was running and bumped into someone. I looked up to see who it was to apologise, and it was James.

'Hey, watch it...Georgia, are you alright?' He asked, suddenly sounding really concerned, walking closer to me. 'Yeh, I'm fine, just leave me alone.' 'No, you're not ok, you wouldn't be crying like this if you weren't. Tell me what's wrong? Georgia?' 'It's Niall.' 'What's he done? Has he hurt you Georgia? Because if he has, I swear to god I will...' 'No, he hasn't hurt me, and you're not to lay a finger on him, you hear me!' 'OK I won't touch him, but you need to tell me what he has done! You never cry like this if you're happy! What has he done Georgia. Come on! You know what I know and what we went through together! Can you seriously not trust me any more!?' 'No I completely trust you! Its Niall, he's becoming famous and he's gonna forget me and I'm just gonna be a nobody to him because he's gonna have all these famous girls around him and he won't want to come back to see me.' I managed to blurt out before I broke down in tears again, right in front of him! 'Georgia, he will never forget you, no one will! I know I haven't these past few weeks. And he does love you, with all his heart. And he will come back to see you. He said he would, and he will. I promise. I won't let anything or anyone hurt you Georgia! And neither will Niall!' he said, pulling me into a hug, while I weeped onto his shoulder. 'Love you J!' 'Love you too G!'
