For a long time, Chloe, Jet, Paris, Daisy, Mia, and Laura have been jamming in the basement of Paris's house. They started their band in Freshman year of High School, meeting up every Thursday after school to work on their music. They all decided to make a band on Snapchat, after a weird conversation about different song artists and whatnot. They all had talent. Chloe was great at singing and electric guitar, and Jet was skilled at bass guitar. While Paris was excellent at singing and Violin, Laura was amazing at Piano, Daisy was an expert at Keyboard, and Mia was pretty good at Drums.

It took a long time to pick a band name. After searching the internet for good ideas, they all came up with nothing, even after hours of searching. But, after a band rehearsal one day, it just popped up in Chloe's mind. Youth Border. It sounded great. A bit edgy and a bit angst. Just like them. And, it worked, and they all loved it. It had a message. They were all teenagers, and they were on the border of becoming an adult and heading to college. They knew that college was going to keep them all busy for a long while, and they all knew college was going to strain their friendship. So, they had to make the best of it.

"We should do more than this."

Jet spoke, sitting back on one of the grey couches.

"What do you mean?"

Mia asked, twirling a drumstick in the air as she laid on the rug.

"I mean, we should play out at a park or something."

He spoke, taking one of the pillows off the couch and into his chest, resting his head on it.

"Where would we go? I don't think we can do it."

Paris spoke up, snacking on seaweed in the small kitchen.

"Yeah, don't we have to have a permit or something?"

Chloe asked, wrapped in the faux fur blanket from the back of the other grey couch.

"Maybe, we can set something up? I think my dad knows some people."

Laura spoke, looking up from her phone.

"Great. We could do that. Have our first concert. Invite some other friends and some family."

Chloe spoke, excited.

In the next few days, the group got everything together. Spreading the message on social media about their first band concert. They were feeling rather excited, but also nervous as heck because of the idea of performing in front of an audience for the first time. They didn't invite a lot of people, only a couple of other friends and family members. Though, the friends and family could invite others if they wanted to. And, boy, were there a lot of people when the day came around.

Laura's dad was able to pull a few stings and rent out a section of a park for them. They are all very grateful for his help, and happy that he found such a nice place. It was in a small park, one with a small playground for kids, walking trails, and a small beach. Their spot was on a small grassy lot, surrounded by trees and patches of white flowers. When they arrived early to get all their stuff ready, they were nervous about how many people would come. But, after some reassuring words from their parents, they got to work, setting the equipment up.

By the time they were done, a small crowd was forming. Full of family, friends, and some family friends. Chloe was mostly surprised, because she knew her mother would invite her aunt, who would invite almost everyone she knew. Thankfully, everyone came a bit early, giving time to the band of friends to work on thinking of their songs they would sing.
