Raina

Location: Inside my head

I opened my eyes, only to find out that I wasn't at the Pokemon Center with Owen anymore. I was back inside the Whirl Islands again. If you wanted to be more precise, the exact place where I battled Lugia. Cavern, rushing water, waterfall basin and all. "So, why am I here again?" I heard a man's voice from under the ocean's waves.

"So we meet again, human," The voice said. "It's only been a mere hour since our last meeting. Since then, you've reunited with your male companion, the Patron of my polar opposite. I'm willing to let you do whatever you want. DO. NOT. MAKE. ME. REGRET. THIS. GIRL. But, there is one thing to do. Make a blood oath to me. The blood is required for my powers. Bite your thumb open and place it in the ocean. This will make sure you're only loyal to me."

I sighed, biting my thumb, causing it to start bleeding, and placed my hand in the water, the waves softly caressing it. The water around my hand turned pink as I saw a dark blue silhouette with glowing eyes behind the waterfall.

"Lugia." I said, taking my hand out of the water.

"Our deal has now been sealed by blood. You will be given my power. Raina Zephyr, you are now my Patron! Water and air will obey you! Do not make me regret this!" Silver light started to take over the entire cavern as I braced myself. My eyes shot open to see Owen, still concentrating.

Owen

Location: Inside my head

I slowly opened my eyes to notice that I wasn't with Raina anymore. I was on the roof of the Bell Tower again. But, where Ho-Oh was perched before she battled me, there was a huge fire, burning from red to gold. "Why am I here again?" I wondered out loud.

"And we meet again, boy," A woman's voice said. "It's only been a few hours since our battle. Since then, you've been waiting for your friend the Patron of my polar opposite. I've decided to let you do what you want. Do NOT make me regret this boy. To acquire my powers, you must make a blood oath to me. This will make sure that you are only loyal to me. Just bite your thumb open and place your hand into the fire. Don't worry. The fire won't harm you."

I took a deep breath and bit my thumb open, letting it bleed, and put my hand into the fire. It didn't burn. It was actually cozy. The fire started to grow brighter as my hand started to heal. "How-" I saw a familiar looking silhouette with glowing eyes.

"Ho-Oh." I took my now healed hand out of the fire.

"Our deal has been sealed by blood. My power shall be given to you. Owen Kai, you are now my Patron! Fire shall obey you! Do not make me regret this." Suddenly, golden light started engulfing the tower. I shut my eyes only to open them again and see that I'm back at the Pokemon Center and Raina has changed, and was sleeping peacefully. I changed into a T-shirt and shorts and started to snore as soon as my face hit the pillow.

Poor Raina and Owen. They've gone through a lot in one day.

Next Chapter: A mere day has only passed by since these two became Patrons and awakened their powers, yet Raina and Owen are already trying to find out how to use their powers by themselves and with the journals. Will the journals help these two?
