Amorie
"Let's go, we have to go NOW!" My boyfriend of 2 years yelled at me, pulling me away from the body of a dead girl who I didn't know. This was supposed to just be a drug deal but of course it had to of gone wrong.
"What do you mean let's go Carlos? She's dead!" I cried, this girl was somebodies daughter, she could be a mother for all we know. Just then we heard a knock on the door. We stood and looked at each other and Carlos' friend Tommy looked like he was going to kill me too.
"Don't move!" Was mouthed too me and they slowly decided on what they were gonna do with the body. The impatient person at the door knocked again but harder.
"Carmen?" The voice said, it was a man so I'm assuming it was her boyfriend . Carlos stamped their gang sign on her forehead and made a run for the window me following his footsteps. By the time I make it to the window the person busts through the door and pulls out his gun just in time, I dive out the window and get into the car and Tommy speeds off.
"Amorie when we tell you it's time to fucking go that's what we mean!" Tommy yells at me, Carlos can't save me this time because it was my fault but I wouldn't have come if I would've known they kill people's girlfriends from the opposite gang just for fun. Call me naive or whatever, I live in the suburbs away from shit like this my dad would be very disappointed.
I looked at the trees as they pulled up to my house, I just prayed that nobody followed us on the way to my house. My nerves were still shot but I had to get myself together before I walked into my home.
"Don't say shit to nobody." Tommy said cutting me a look, I nodded my head and quickly exited the car. Carlos yanked my arm back and I looked at him.
"Where's my kiss?" He asked, I bent into the car to give him a quick peck and ran up the drive way to my home.
"Amorie, hi baby. You okay ? You look flustered." My mom giggled as she ran her hand over her pregnant belly. I was happy to see her because whenever I see my mom I just know everything would be alright. She was one of the best lawyers in the state and I know she would help me if I needed it.
