The bell rang again, closing in on another class. Currently she was both happy and sad. Only one more class before she would be released from school, unfortunately it was a double period.
She had gone through most part of the day; and was now tired. Luckily, it was time for Biology Practical. The quiet and cool lab, where you are never alone, the only practical where you take your own time doing minute work. These optimistic thoughts kept one going everyday, through everything.
While thinking these she kept walking towards the laboratory. Most of her classmates still hadn't left the class while some lazily walked, following her closely.
As soon as she opened the door, a hurdling noise startled her. As her eyes followed the source of the noise, her heart skipped a beat at the sight. A pile of human bones scattered on the ground. Most bones were stilled joined to each other. It looked like the skeleton was just dancing and the sound of the door opening startled it and it slipped, dislocating some joints when it hit the ground.
Well, the Biology Lab could get too boring, even for skeletons, I guess. Humans do have a lot of trouble of the dead enjoy a lit party. But that was not the problem here. Beside the fallen skeleton stood two girls, maybe two or three years younger than her, horror stricken as if they had done a murder. It was not tough joining the pieces of the puzzle now.
The noise did bring her other classmates to the lab in a swarm, much faster than anticipated and all so eager for the party that just went down.
The girls, who had got their hands on the keys on the skeleton chamber, opened it, had their little puppet show and were busted before the finale; were drained of all colours. They knew they were in for some big mess. They were kept in custody until the teacher came. First came scolding, then came securing Mr. Skeleton (yes, he is a male dude) back, followed by contacting a skeleton doctor for his broken joints, at last class resumed.
All along she stayed still, sitting in her usual place dozing off, dreaming about the skeleton party she might be in, within a century or so.
