MC woke up to the light shining through her window, she had only been employed to Sam Dalton for a couple months but it seemed like an eternity. She stood up to go make breakfeast for the twins Mickey and Mason, but stopped short smelling something already being made. Something as in homemade pancakes. She walked out expecting to see her boss, Sam, but instead she saw his adopted brother Robin. He was the one making breakfeast, he also the one singing Pocket Full of Sunshine while using a spatula as his microphone.
"Robin? What are you doing here?" She walked over, rubbing whatever was left of her tiredness out of her eyes.
He glanced over his shoulder and flashed a playful smile, "MC! I was hoping you would sleep in a little longer, but oh well."
     "Where's Sam?" She looked around.
"Sofia dragged him down to the country club for the day."
She let out a sigh and folded her arms, "Of course she did..."
"But, hey, that just means I get you all to myself today. See? I even made you breakfeast." He chuckled at which MC couldn't help but laugh along.
"Not that I have a problem with that, but I still have to watch M&M you know." She teased playfully.
"Not a problem, dollface. I have already taken care of that." He smiled in glee.
"What are you talking you about?" She tilted her head.
"I talked to Carter and he agreed to watch the boys for the day. That is, if you want to." He looked at MC, subtly giving her the puppy dog eyes.
She chuckled and weighed her options. "You know what? Sure, why not. I could use a break"
"Wait, really?" He asked to which she nodded. "Yes!" He pumped his fist in the air, making MC laugh softly.
"What did you have in mind?"
"Oh I don't know... Breakfeast, obviously, and then maybe Coney Island? Just me and my favorite girl." He slung his arm over her shoulder with a playful grin.
"Sounds like a plan, but I am not your girl." She pushed his arm off.
He groaned in response, "Of course you belong to Mr. Big Shot."
"No, I do not belong to him either! I belong to no one." She jokingly shoved him.
"Whatever you say, princess." He put a couple of the freshly made pancakes onto a plate and handed it to her.
MC took a bite, her eyes widening in surprise. "Wow, Robin, these are actually delicious."
"Did you not expect them to be?"
"I had my doubts." She teased
He chuckled, "Well eat up, don't want you to be hungry when we get to the park. She nodded in response as she continued to eat the breakfeast Robin had made for her. A little while later, MC had gotten changed and prepared the twins for their day with Carter.
After sending the children off, Robin walked over to MC and offered his arm. "Ready m'lady?"
She chuckled and linked her arms with his, "I am."
"Then we're off!" He walked out, locking the door behind him. The pair walked out to the car, Robin getting behind the driver's wheel. And with that, their day began.
Once they got to the park, Robin immediately started looking around for some carnival game he could impress MC at. His eyes lit up upon seeing the strong man challenge. He grabbed MC's hand and pulled her over.
"Robin? Where are we going?" She looked around him to get a glimpse of what he was up to.
     "I wanna play a game!"
"You know that these games are just a scam to get more money, right?" They're unwinnable."
He grinned and looked back at her, "Nothing is unwinnable when you're with me." He paid the man working the game before picking up the mallet. "Watch and learn, MC." She folded her arms and took a step back, watching every move he made.
He lifted the hammer, keeping a steady eye on the target, and then swung, hitting it dead in the center. He watched the ball go up and up, showing a grin confidence as it neared the bell. Yet, the ball stopped short just a few inches away from the bell. Robin stood there dumbfounded as he paid the man again.
     "Robin I don't think-"
"Shh," He cut her off "I need to concentrate." She rolled her eyes and watched him fail again. He tried over and over, but not once did he prevail. Eventually, he let out a sigh of defeat, and gave up trying.
"Give up?" MC looked at him. He slowly nodded in response. She walked over to him and pat his shoulder. "Come on, I'll get you some cotton candy to cheer you up."
He crossed his arms, "I'm not a kid, MC."
"Does that mean you don't want the cotton candy?" She tilted her head.
"Oh no, I want the cotton candy." He looked at her. She chuckled and nodded before going off to find the vendor that sold the confectionery treat.
Their day continued on, they rode rides, ate food, and played games to their heart's content. It was getting late, but Robin had one more idea in mind.
"Robin, it's getting late and the park is getting ready to close, where are you taking me?" She asked him.
"Just one more ride, and then I'll drive you home." He replied to her as they approached the ferris wheel. He opened the door for her.
"I didn't take you as a ferris wheel kind of guy." She smiled
He shrugged and got in besides her, "I couldn't think of a better way to end this perfect night." He said right as the ride started. They sat in silence as the wheel went around, stopping once they were near the top.
MC looked around at the city surrounding them, "Wow, it's a goregous view from here."
"Indeed it is." Robin nodded. But he was not looking at the city, he instead was looking at the beauty besides him, MC.
She turned her head toward him to look at him, blushing once she realized he was talking about her and not the city that never sleeps. "Robin..."
He sighed, "No, I know, you like Sam. But I can't help but love you! What does he have that I don't?"
She shook her head and grabbed his hands, "Robin, it's not him that I want."
He looked at her in surprise, "You feel the same way I do?" He watched as she nodded. "Then you wouldn't mind if I?" He leaned in.
She smiled, "Not at all." She leaned in and closed the gap between them, making their lips press together. They both smiled into the kiss, letting the world around them melt away. This truly was the perfect end to the perfect nice.

The end.
