Chapter 17

Well that's what I thought until I felt someone push me to the hard ground. I looked up just in time to witness Damen punching Adam in jaw knocking his head back and making him lose his grip on the gun. It fell to the ground but noone went to pick it up as both Daniel and Damen were busy throwing punches at the bald guy and Adam, which made me think about why Damen suddenly changed sides after betraying us from the start.

"Nora!" I heard Sam call from where he sat on the floor tied up like a cage animal.

I ran to him and tried with great difficulty to untied the rope that was tied around his wrists and legs. Eventually when i got to free him he untied my hands and sprang into action. I watched helplessly as the boys kicked, punched and dodged each other. I don't know what Daniel was talking about when he told me Adam wouldn't fight fair Because at the moment it was us who weren't playing fair, 3 againist 2.

At this point Damen and Sam were both trying to tackling Adam who to be honest knew very well how to fight and defend him self to the ground where as Daniel was alone with the bald guy. I got off the ground and went near the front door where he had Daniel pined against the wall by his neck. I used the rope that was used to tie Sam's hands and threw it round the guys neck from behind and pulled it so it would make him turn to me and release his hold on Daniel. And he did but because I wasn't strong enough to cause any real damage to the fat man who looked like he could pick me up one handed and throw me 10 feet into the sky, grabbed the rope from around his neck and threw it to the ground effortlessly. But this had given Daniel who had a burst lip and whose face looked like it would be a mixture of blue and purple tomorrow time to knock some good punches into the guy.

"Nora, move away!" Daniel ordered me, his voice showing just how much out of breath he was which was why I wanted to help him so badly. I scanned the place around me looking for anything that i could use as a weapon and then it dawned on me, The gun, i could use the gun even though i didn't have a clue how to. I looked at where it lay on the floor along distance away from me but was near to Sam.

"Sam!" I shouted hoping i could get him to notice the gun and use it to our benefit. He looked at me with eyes that thought i was in trouble and that he was willing to do anything to get me out of that trouble.

"The gun!" I pointed to the floor near him, which gained everyones attention including Adam's. Not good because it changed what i was expecting to happen to what i feared would happen.

One minute it was Sam down to get the gun and then the next Sam was kicked in the stomache causing him to back off in pain (ouch!) and Adam was the one with the gun in his hand.

Damen was about to launch himself at him but stopped as soon as Adam turned around and pointed the gun at him, making everyone stop and stare.

"YOU ARE ALL DEAD!" Adam shouted every word soaked with venom.

"I was thinking one would be enough but I guess you all want to die together," He continued while pointing the gun at each of us.

"Him first!" Fat man shouted as Daniel struggled to get out of his hold. Adam smiled widely at the sight of Daniel's arms tied behind his back and said,

"It would be my pleasure. That way the bussiness Dad put your name on will be mine, actually everything will be mine!" There was a slit bitterness to the way he said Dad but i don't think anyone notice as everyone including myself were wondering what business?

"What business? There is no business on my name!" Daniel replied, fustrated and pained because he had his hands pulled tightly behind his back.

"That's the thing you, don't know! Since the day you turned 18 Dad put your name on a multi million dollar business where as what did i get. F**k ALL!"

"You were always his favourite from the start, no matter what i did it was always you he would proudly call son, Where as for me he couldn't even remember my name!" Adam continued angrily

"And how am I to blame for any of this?" Daniel asked calmly as it was clear he didn't want to anger Adam any further.

"Because you are the cause of all this, you dumb shit!"

"No he's not!" I didn't realise it was me who had spoke until all eyes were on me. I looked at Daniel who looked scared, but not scared for himself he looked scared for me which was why I defended him.

"You can't blame him for something he had no control over," I continued much more calmly this time but Adam turned back to Daniel as if he hadn't even heard me.

"You don't need to do this, we could stop all this hatred we have towards each other," Daniel stated a tint pleading in his voice. But Adam just laughed at him while tightening his hold on the gun.

"It's too late," He stated, barely louder than a whisper as he pulled the trigger.
