A good night's sleep had become foreign to Eijiro. He was no longer able to rest easy, he was barely able to keep himself together. His old home was something he hated returning to. It was a home he'd picked out with his wife... wife...
(f/n) Kirishima, AKA (v/n), had been arrested about two weeks ago. The day after the arrest was made, most social media outlets and news outlets had covered the news.
RED RIOT'S WIFE ARRESTED FOR MURDER AND LARCENY.
Those words were plastered EVERYWHERE. All of his friends, except Bakugou, called in a panic, wondering what had happened. Unfortunately, Eijiro had no response for them. He, himself, had barely been able to wrap his mind around the situation. He knew what was happening, he could see it all flying by, but he just wasn't able to comprehend it. His (f/n) wasn't... his.
"I was never yours, to begin with, Red Riot."
Those words painfully rang in his ears over and over, almost as if they were taunting him. Every single time, he'd break down crying, just like he'd done in front of her. They had a very healthy and happy relationship. They had been married for four years and had been dating for a little over three. Not once, not once, had Eijiro seen a sign of (f/n) being (v/n).
Being in his own home hurt. The house was filled with pictures of her. Pictures of them. All the memories came rushing back, stabbing him like a million knives. Each memory was tearing into his heart, making him desperately beg and need to go back into time.
He needed an out. He needed to get away from all of this. From the memories, from the pictures, from her clothes, from her. Eijiro knew what was going to happen if he didn't. He knew what would happen if he were to stay there. Those beautiful memories that used to bring joy to his life would slowly turn his mind to dust.
"(f/n)..." He whimpered into the cold room, wrapping his arms around himself. "Don't... don't go."
He sounded pathetic, pitiful yet he didn't really care. He desperately wished he could be the Sturdy Hero again, but that wasn't going to happen. He was broken, shattered, pieces of him strewn about the floor. He was falling apart and there wasn't anyone around to pick up the pieces or keep him from breaking apart anymore.
Vermilion eyes looked out the window, peering up at the bright full moon. His quiet wishes and pleas fell on deaf ears. It was sad how easily she brought him to his knees, it was easy how quickly he was begging every deity in existence to reverse what had been done. The pit of despair grew in his stomach, it was eating at him. It was tearing him apart and there was nothing he could do.
This was a scary game. This pain wasn't something that could just be taken away. It needed to heal, slowly. But Eijiro didn't have that time. He didn't have the willpower to continue feeling like this until it got better.
Eijiro jumped when his phone rang, bursting the bubble of silence that had built around him.
"H-hello?" He asked, nervously.
"She escaped!" It was Bakugou, "she broke out of the cell somehow, took out the guards, and now she's gone. Eijiro, she might come to you. Don't let her fool you, don't let her make you do anything! Do you understand?" She... broke out? "HEY!"
