"I really don't fucking care what you want!" She slammed you against the wall, your eyes shutting tight as her spit hit your face. "This is my house! You should be on your knees, praising me for letting you stay beneath my roof!"
You bit your tongue, restraining yourself from saying anything. You didn't make a sound as she slapped you, her words not processing with you. You repeated one thing in your mind, over and over.
Three more years. Three more years. Three more years.
Three more years until college. Three more years of hell and then you were free. No more abuse, no more fear, just, living.
Three more years.

You slowly closed your door, turning on the little lights around your room. It was nothing bright, but it wasn't too dim. You saw your feet dragging themselves to the broken mirror in the corner of the room. Most of it was still intact, but your father did throw it years ago.
A little flickering light pushed past your curtains, causing you to stop your walk.
Jungkook
You grabbed the notepad and marker, pulling your blinds open and sitting on your windowsill. He sat on his, your two windows maybe fifteen feet apart. It was easier to read what the other wrote on their notepad. It was the perfect form of communication since you weren't allowed to have a phone.
"Are you okay?" Jungkook held up his notepad, staring at you with concern in his eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Wdym?" You wrote back, a small sliver of hope he wouldn't really know.
"Y/N, I heard the shouts." He flipped the page. "Look at your eye." You rushed to your mirror, horror on your face as you saw the black eye.
"Jungkook...." You wrote, not exactly knowing what to say. It was late, the lights on the streets barely bright enough to see each other's notepads, but it was enough, barely.
"Sneak out and I'll show you something."
--
"Jungkook," You hurried beside him, your coat wrapped around you tightly. "This is dangerous."
"Trust me." Jungkook smiled softly and took your hand, leading you to the park.
He was knelt in front to you, you sitting on a swing, a small tube of concealer in his hands.
"I don't use make-up." You frowned, watching him put a dot of the concealer on his finger. "I don't even know how to use it."
"That's why I'm going to show you." He held up his finger, showing me how much he put on it. "You won't need much, it spreads really fast. Go ahead and close your eye."
You did as told, his finger gentle against your eyelid as he slowly spread the cold liquid around your black eye. "Jungkook..."
"You just have to make sure it's evenly spread and no one will be able to tell your injured!"
You opened your eyes, startling him. But your fingers curled around his shirt, pulling him in for a kiss. He never was, just a neighbor. "Thank you." You breathed out, Jungkook's eyes darting around your face.
And he pulled you in for one more.
