So i was in the kitchen when i had this pop into my head, had only my phone on me i cooked and wrote at the same time :)

Blazing embers bit at my arms and legs like a phoenix dancing with an anger and hatred for all things living, my hair caught fire and i quickly put out the smouldering flame with my sweaty palms.

Smoke filled my lungs like thickened water and i choked coughing furiously, i was being covered in a black soot blanket that fell like graying snowflakes softly from the air.

I could hear screams of pain men, women and children succumbing to the wild flame.

I could see a young girl sat in the corner crying for help, i couldn't move as i was hit by the wave of heat and surrounded by the hazy fumes, i peered through the red hot embers to the girl and saw in mortification and heartache as she too became engulfed in flames, burning, scalding, like livid claws scratching, melting her skin from her bones.

I closed my eyes awaiting my obvious future, Expecting to feel seering hot flames ripping at my flesh, as they had done the young girl so unsympathetically just moments before, I felt feather light reasuring hands, i was being lifted! Opening my eyes in bewildered fear and confusion, there, stood before me was a blurry silhouette, it's arms outstretched to me, the fire behind it, like wings, i thought before giving in to exhaustion.
