Our Story

The Realization (pt 2)

"So as we just discovered Darren had realized that he was in love with me, however I hadn't made that discovery yet so... I guess now I should tell you about the time I fell in love with Darren Criss" Olivia took a deep breath before starting.

"I guess the moment for me about Darren was when we all (as in the starkids) went to the lake together." Olivia smiled at the memory.

Flashback

It was early in the morning and everyone met at the Lang's house. They all decided it was easier to take 3 cars instead of 6. They were planning on camping at Lake Michigan. It was a 2 hour drive but they were all too excited to care.

"Guys I'm so excited for this trip" Jamie squealed.

Everyone hummed in agreement. It was way to early in the morning for anyone to be that perky.

"Okay well we should get on the road soon so who is riding with who?" Brolden asked

"I've got Liv, Lo, and Joey and we can fit one more person if necessary." Darren stated.

"Ive got Meredith, Jamie and Walker" Brolden explained.

"Okay so I guess that means I'm with the Lang's" Brosenthal stated.

Not everyone was able to make it this weekend since how it was the 4th of July and most people already had plans.

Olivia, Lauren, Joey and Darren made their way over to Darren's car. Olivia sat in the passenger seat while Joey and Lauren sat in the back. Darren was still putting up their bags in the trunk.

Darren was super excited that he got to spend the weekend with all of his friends, but he was most excited to spend it with Olivia. She still didn't know about his not so little crush on her and he was glad. He didn't want to put their friendship in jeopardy.

About half way there everyone in the car had fallen asleep. Darren looked in his mirror to check on Lauren and Joey to find Lauren in the middle seat cuddled up next to Joey who had his arms around her waist. Darren smiled to himself. Even thought they wouldn't admit it, they loved each other.

Darren shifted his gaze over to the beautiful woman beside him. She looked beautiful even when she was sleeping. There was not a moment Darren looked at her and didn't fall in love with her all over again.

"God your so beautiful" Darren mumbled to himself... or at least he thought.

Olivia was only half asleep. She felt Darren's stares which only made her blush. She began to drift off into a deeper sleep until she heard Darren say she was beautiful. Olivia felt the heat rise back up into her cheek. She began to smile like crazy. She had no idea why. They were just best friends. She never thought they would be more and she thought he didn't either.

The compliment gave Olivia butterflies. She always thought Darren was an attractive man but she never thought about dating him until now. And she had to admit she liked it.

Flashback Over

"And then I realized that Darren wasn't just my best friend. He was..." Olivia trailed off

"A possible romantic interest" Darren finished for her.

"You know that's not what I was going to say" Olivia whispered into Darren's ear.

"I couldn't bare to hear you say it" Darren said letting the tears fall from his eyes.

"Let's take a break" Olivia said with tears of her own spilling from her eyes as she turned off the camera.
