I had finally drifted off, what felt like minutes was actually hours. I swam to the top and saw that it was dark so I decided to swim back to the beach to get my stuff. For a change I decided to swim on the surface and since it was dark I didn't think I would have an issue. That was until I got within walking distance of shore and I saw eight very large wolves looking directly at me. They had seen me but not my tail. However, I was currently swimming in salt water and I wouldn't be able to change until I was on land. I couldn't duck back down because they had seen me and because of my stupid pride they knew that I knew about Wolves so I was stuck.

The big black one at the front with chocolatey brown eyes was obviously Jace and he was starting to step into the water. I couldn't sing them away because my song doesn't work on girls and if I controlled the waves in any shape or form they could probably guess what I am. I was beginning to panic when I felt a tug on my tail. I look down and I see Maku. I sigh a breath of relief but then I realise even if I go down they are still gonna swim and will still be able to guess at what I am. I look to see how far Jace has got swimming and see that I will have just enough time to duck down, talk to Maku and possibly swim further out.

I duck down and Maku and I swim to the bottom "Princess are you okay. I was worried about what happened earlier and why is there a bunch of Wolves on the beach and why is the future Alpha of the pack swimming towards us! I am meant to protect you young lady and I don't know how to protect you from this!" I couldn't believe him. Maku had yelled at me maybe once or twice in his life I just wasn't used to it. "I'm sorry okay, Jace the Alpha he's my mate. I know I have a mate but not only that he tried to dominate me demanding that he know what species I am and I revealed that I was the future Queen I didn't say of where but just that I was one. I couldn't handle it okay I'm the Princess of the Seven Seas and I couldn't handle a stupid future Alpha!" Maku laughed at me. He actually had the nerve to laugh at me here. I was panicking and Maku was laughing. "Oh Princess you could have just told him he's your mate he has the right to know. I know how much pressure you are under and to suddenly have a mate and a reason to stay on land that could possibly make you happy I know how much that hurts you because you don't know if your parents are alive but having a mate is a good thing this is a whole other race that we could have on our side fighting your uncle. I'm not forcing a decision on you. I would never do that but just think about it. Tell him now or in a few months it'll all be the same."

I give Maku a massive hug and he swims off. I hear splashing from above me and I see not only Jace but all the others as well; they have all started to swim in the ocean trying to find me. This gives me enough time to swim under them and make it to shore while they are still searching the ocean. I manage to dry off, get dressed and sneak away and the Wolves are none the wiser. I run home as fast as I can with tears streaming down my face. I know Jace is my mate and on some level I already love him and I do trust him but Isaac scares me and it's up to me not anyone else. I'd just gotten back to the house when I heard a howl in the night. I knew that the howl was Jaces and it was one of pain. This was the second time I had ran from him in less than a day. I felt awful but I knew I would see him soon so even though it broke my heart I walked inside and went straight to bed.
