One Will

Part 2: Chapter 8

One...Two...Three… I run, the wind scraping against my face, I can’t lose not again. I hear distant screams; parent’s yelling their child’s name. I can only hope that Cam is at home...well what’s left of our home anyway. I run even faster at the thought, I can’t see or hear anything anymore, but I can’t stop. My mind is racing, will I win, will I lose, and are we safe, can we survive?

“Lia! Come on we have to go.” Camey yelled sternly.

“Jesus Christ Cam, I’m coming, calm down.” I yelled back so that he could hear me.

“We have to go now!”

I can’t believe that the one team I got paired up was with Cam’s team. Who would think that the one person who can’t stand me, the one that is so freaking adorable, is on my team. I mean his short military styled brown hair, and then his mutant looking green eyes…

“Hurry up Lia, we have to go now!”

“Yes ma’am!”

“Lia, get down now!”

          I can tell that, that what I said really pissed him off, oh well, I already got in trouble what could happen. I get down stairs just after ten before twelve, oh god, we are late, whoops. We have to get to Alex’s house or we will literally be killed. I don’t think that I have ever expressed how much I hated visiting Alex; he always wanted to kill me for whatever reason. Although every time Cam has been there to stop him, I have never known why, I mean he has a girlfriend.

          “He is going to kill you this time Lia and I won’t be able to stop him.” Cam say’s as he is panting because of how fast we are running.

          “I know, I know, I know…” I say back even though my mind is somewhere else.

          We stop running, I feel the warm breeze turn cold, the trees stand still, the van coming. I am tempted to run, knowing that I might have a better chance of survival that way. Cam seems to know what I am thinking because he gives me a stern look, the look you would give someone to tell them that what they were thinking was the most idiotic thing in the entire freaking universe.
