Kat POV
I text Karin wondering if she would want to go to the zoo after I was done with soccer. Soon she replies with a yes. We may be 18 but that does not excuse us from the childish delight that is the zoo. I could hardly wait, but I had to get through the soccer game that awaited me. Luckily I had played this team before and knew their strengths and weaknesses, before I knew it the final whistle had sounded and I could now go pick up Karin. As I got in my car I checked to make sure I still had my camera. Photography had always been a hobby of mine and one day I hoped to get into film. Driving toward Karin's house I wondered how many weird looks we would be getting today, we were probably going to act like complete children. Karin and I have so many differences but the one thing that brought us together is our obsession with Marvel and our antisocial attitude. Soon I pulled up to her house. All I had to do was honk and she came bounding out of her house. She jumped into the car.

"Hi Kat!" She greeted.

"Sup! Where do you want to go first in the zoo?" I questioned as I started the short drive.

"How about the carousel? I always loved going on those." She replied.

"Sounds good." I agree.

Soon the sound of the radio takes over the car and one of our favorite songs, Monster by Skillet, comes on. We start dramatically singing and head banging along until I pull into the parking lot. We wait until the song ends then get out of the car.

"I am going to get my camera out of the car." I state.

We link arms as we make our way to the entrance, that says Welcome to the Atlanta Zoo. As soon as we show our tickets and get in we start skipping to the carousel singing, "We're off to se the wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz."

Once we get there I dig out some money from my bag and hand it to the attendant, "Two single-ride tickets please."

"Okay, here you go. Have a nice day!" She replies.

Karin and I run off. We go find our animals to sit on. Karin picked an Artic Hare, so I sat next to her on an Artic Fox. I quickly pull out my camera and turn it on.

I turn to Karin, "How do you feel about me filming this?"

She shrugs in reply so I start filming.

As the ride starts I ask, "What should I name my fox?"

"How about Billy?"

I agree. I start petting Billy and ask, "So how are you my trusty stead?"

As the ride starts Karin yells,"And we ride!"

During the duration of the ride we talk to our animals and in the end Karin named her Artic Hare Code White. After the carousel ride we get on a tram and go see the primates. We walk and go see all the different monkeys.

"Woah that one is judging me" I hear Karin say. She is pointing out a black monkey that is staring at us wondering what is wrong with us, it almost looks worried for our well being.

"Haters gonna hate." I sing looking at the camera.

She grabs the camera, takes off running and yells, "Nooo! Don't start singing that!"

So my natural reaction is, "Shake it off, Shake it off, OooOoOoo!" I sing loudly as I chase after her.

Shrieking she starts running faster and soon we are down back by the entrance. I look down and see that it is almost time for the zoo to close so we make our way to the car.

As we start the short drive to her house we talk about our future because we have just months left to decide which college we will go to. I wanted to live in England and so did Karin, it was a life long dream of ours. I wanted to find a college near Liverpool, where my favorite English Premier League team Everton plays. I had finally found the college, the University of Liverpool, where both of us could pursue separate engineering degrees.

"Karin", I start, "I think I found the University to go to."

"Where is it Kat?" She inquires.

"Liverpool!"

"That's Great!"

"It's the University of Liverpool. We can both go for engineering and we will both get to go to England like we always wanted. I also think if we keep our grades up we can get a pretty decent scholarship."

With awe in her voice she states, "I think we should apply."

"Well that's good you think that because I already sent in the applications."

"You did?"

"Of course and I have good news! We got accepted!"

"Yes!" Karin screams.

"We also got full ride scholarships. I got one for soccer and you got one for academics."

"Wow, we need to talk to our parents about this."

"No need," I tell her, "They are all ecstatic and can't wait to have an excuse to visit us!"

By this time I had pulled into the driveway of Karin's house.

"Do you want to take my camera? Maybe you could edit the videos and see how it turns out?" I ask.

"Sure, why not? It's not like I have much else to do." She answers.

"Bye!" I yell as I pull out of the driveway.

I hear a muffled, "Don't leave me with these people!", as a farwell.
