"you are just a foundling calf, i wish you too would have died with your mother".

"You are a useless kid, you broke my expensive vase, you shall be punished". "No mother I'm sorry for it". 'Pahhh'

Sofia woke up with drenching in sweat and gloom on her face. Her memories with her stepmother always haunts her. Thanks to her grandpa David who got her custody when she was 8 and did her upbringing like a delicate princess of a Dreamland.

She came back to her senses only when she heard her phone call, it was from her best friend Emmy.

"Hello Sofi, where are you? i have been trying to call you since an hour. Well let me remind you that it's julie's birthday today and we have to grab her gift, so be ready till 12 noon, I'll pick you up from your office". Emmy kept blabbering on her own.

"Good morning Emmy, okay. done! Sofia said gracefully and chuckling.

"Hey! What are you laughing about"?

"Nothing. You just speaks non stop"

"are you complaining"? Emmy asked with an upset voice.

"oh no!! I love you this way Emmy.." Sofia added

Emmy smiles and cut the phone with the greeting.

It was 8 in the morning, Sofia got up, had her breakfast and headed to her office. She lived alone in her small 1 BHK Apartment.  Although she belong to very wealthy family,  her Grandfather was the Director of Flora Co-operation, one of the top industries in City A, she chose to work on her own and her Grandpa supported her in all her verdicts.

Sofia was a brilliant student in the field of Management and after completion of her graduation she joined as an intern in Fash Co-operation. In 4 years of her job she got promoted because of her hard work and dedication from an intern to manager in Research and Development Department of Fash Co-operation.

sharp at 9 morning Sofia headed straight to her cabin, collected her files and rushed to the meeting hall. The meeting was about the New Director - who was taking the charge of Fash Co-operation, he was only grandchild of Senior Director William who returned from abroad completing his studies.

Meeting was dropped at 11:30 a.m.

When Sofia left the meeting hall her phone buzzed in her pocket, it was grandpa David.

"hello grandpa, how are you?

"hello my love, i'm all fine, I called you to talk something serious". Grandpa added.

"What is it grandpa? i'm listening". Sofia asked worriedly.

"I have set a blind date for you, and i want you to meet him. He is my friend's grandson and very gentleman".

"Not again grandpa"

David always set blind dates for her so that she could choose a good life partner, get married and live happily before he died. But Sofia never liked any of them nor she was interested in marriage at this moment.

"Sofia my child you will be 24 in coming 2 months. i want you to settle with a family before I die.

Sofia's heart sank when she heard his grandpa and helplessly agreed to go for it.

"Okay then I'll text you the venue and time for your meet, have a good day princess" grandpa said happily

"Bye grandpa. You take care" Sofia added hung the phone.
