Your the One, You've Always Been

Chapter 2. Why?

Ezra stood there in the middle of his living room. Thoughts streaming through his head. Where did this all go wrong? -A was gone, they were happy, they were honest, they loved each other.

Ezra knew he needed to call Aria, he needed to talk to her, see what happened.

Ezra pulled out his phone. He dialed Aria's number, he knew it by heart. He heard five rings before she picked up.

"Aria?" Ezra said into the phone.

"Um hey, look I know we need to talk, and we will." Aria responded as her voice cracked.

"Can you come over tonight? I know it's soon, but I need to see you. I need to know why." Ezra said as tears came out of his eyes,

"Yeah, I'll be there at 7:00." She said as tears formed in her eyes.

"Ok sounds good, well I guess I'll see you tonight, bye." Ezra said trying not to break down.

"Yeah, okay." She said. "Wait, Ezra. I need you to know that I love you, and even though I love you I can't tell you everything. I'm coming tonight to explain everything I can tell you." Aria said before hanging up.

"I love you too, Aria." he said with a slight smile, but she had already hung up.

Last night has been awful for Ezra, his whole apartment was trashed with beer cans and Chinese take out. He couldn't handle the break-up, he took it out on his apartment and on himself. But, Ezra knew he had to clean up before Aria arrived.

He got a big trash bag and threw all the beer cans and Chinese takeout, that was meant for him and Aria, and dumped it into the trash bag.

Ezra hopped into the shower and got all cleaned up. He put on some baggy jeans and a casual shirt.

Ezra ordered some food for later and wiring for Aria to arrive while watching an old black and white movie.

He checked the time, it was 7:07. Aria had always been on time or early. Ezra was worried she wasn't going to come, but the he heard a knock on the door of his apartment.
