When it all fades
Will you be there, standing with me?
As the seconds tick
As numerous as sand along the sea,
With rolling tides
That carry our dreams away.
When we are gone
Will your feelings stay?

I've been in Kaiba's private jet a handful of times, but this is the first time I've actually been able to enjoy it without intentionally makin' Seto mad. After my requests for fancy pillows and little bags of snacks, I settle in to watch a movie. Of course, Seto is nowhere to be seen.
He said a while ago that he was gonna talk about flight plans, and he hasn't been back since. I look around the empty space, sighing softly.
I wish at least Mokuba was here, but he'd stayed behind for some reason.

I end up fallin' asleep partway through the movie. I guess there weren't enough explosions in it.

I wake up when I feel someone sit beside me, leaning away and towards the window so quick I bump my head. Seto looks at me like I'm crazy, a frown on his face.
"Relax. Who else did you think it was? We're thousands of feet in the air." He says, and I glare.
"Well, what kinda guy sneaks up on someone while they're sleepin'? Not to mention that you dragged me onto your plane and didn't tell me where we're even goin'." I cross my arms, turning away from him. I'm surprised when I feel his hand on my shoulder, and I turn to look at him out of the corner of my eye. "What?"
"I hardly 'dragged' you here. And I didn't tell you where we're going because it's a surprise." He says, then raises an eyebrow. "I'm trying to be nice, you know."

"Ooooh! Is this one-a them romantic things?" I ask, smirking and raising an eyebrow. "Didn't figure you were the type ta do stuff like this."
"I'm sure it's nothing even comparable to what you're thinking of." Seto huffs, crossin' his arms and leaning back in his seat. He turns his face away as if he's mad, but not before I can catch that pouty expression- as if he's been caught red handed.
I hold back my laughter, nodding a bit. "Yeah, okay. We gonna be there soon?"
"We're staying for the weekend." Seto says, and my eyes widen.
"Wh-what?! But what about Kaiba Corp?!"

He turns, raising an eyebrow slightly, his expression indifferent. "What about it?"
That... Is a definite red flag. If any one word could describe Seto Kaiba when it came down to business, it would be 'punctual'. The fact that he's literally in the process of blowin' off work is so Un-Seto that I'm actually a bit worried.
"You're kiddin' right?" I ask, and he scoffs.

"As if I've ever been one to kid."
And he's got a point.
He's probably the most stuck up, intense guy I've ever met. I say guy cause I've also had the displeasure of meeting Mai.
He doesn't look completely unhinged... So I just shrug and lean my head against his shoulder.

"So... Is this your way of takin' a vacation?" I ask.
He's quiet for a minute, and when I glance over I see him looking at some sorta graphs or somethin' on his phone. I sit up and shove him lightly, frowning. "Ey, if we're goin' on some getaway together, at least put your phone down for a bit!"
He glances over at me outta the corner of his eye, raising an eyebrow slightly before glancing back at his phone. I open my mouth to say somethin', but before I can he locks his phone and slips it into his pocket. He looks at the screen that I'd been watching my movie on. "What were you watching?"

"Huh?" There's no way he's interested in knowing. There can't be. Still, he repeats the question, a bit more annoyed. I cross my arms, leaning back in my chair. "Um, well, I was watchin' Robot Timebomb 3."
"Hm." He grumbles and averts his eyes. "Alright. What's it about?"
"Huh?!" I ask in disbelief. "You've never seen Robot Timebomb?! We gotta watch it together!"

Robot Timebomb is... Absolutely, without a doubt, a waste of time. The second and third movies are equally as cliche and lowbrow, and normally I wouldn't watch more than five minutes of it. But... Joey wants to watch it, so I power through.
After an agonizing six hours, the trilogy finally comes to an end.

"So, whaddya think?" Joey asks, that cocky tone of voice convincing me that he's sure I loved it.
"Well," I start, gesturing to the credits. "I don't really see the appeal."
"What's not to like?" Joey asks, frowning.

"The entire plot is convoluted. And the robot doesn't even explode at the end, so the title makes no sense."
"Yeah, but it could've. That's why they had to find the code." He points out, as if I didn't understand that part.
"Yes, but why were there so many scenes with the buddy cops? They weren't even main characters." I argue.

I don't know how long our in depth discussion of the movie goes on. By the time we arrive to the resort, it's already sunset, and Joey won't stop yawning.
"Look, it won't be long before we can sleep. I just need to check into the room and get our bags brought up." I say as he yawns yet again.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. I'm gonna take a nap on this nice couch here while ya-"
"You can head to the room actually. Just walk up to the desk and ask for the key card, and I'll join you once I've taken care of everything." I say, waving dismissively.

"Oh. Well, yeah, if you're sure."

The lady at the desk glares at me.

"You are Seto Kaiba?" She asks, yet again. I groan, rolling my eyes.
"No, I'm here with Seto Kaiba. He sent me ta get the key card, get it?" I repeat for maybe the millionth time.

"Sir, I highly doubt that someone of... Your caliber, would ever be anywhere near Mr. Kaiba. He visits this resort regularly enough that I am aware of who his usual companions are." She says, and my stomach does flip flops at the way she's sneering at me. Dammit.
"I-"

She cuts me off. "Listen, I'm going to have to call security if you keep this up. Do us both a favour and get lost."
At that point, I've had about enough. I end up causin' a bit of a scene, and next thing I know, two big dudes have my arms in a firm grip and are about to lead me out the doors kickin'and screamin'.

"Is there a problem here?"
I don't think I've ever been so relieved to hear that voice in my life.
The hotel goons look over at Seto, acknowledging him as they let the lady at the desk explain the situation.
"I am so sorry sir!" She begins, that suddenly whiny and sugary voice gettin' on my nerves. "This omega was trying to sneak into your room. Don't worry though, sir! We're having him taken outside right away!"

"Excuse me?" Seto asks.
It's that tone that makes everyone in the room feel like an idiot, and it causes all of the staff within earshot to freeze up.
"S-sir?" The lady asks, unsure why Seto seems so upset.

He turns to the security guards, glaring. "Put him down this instant. And you."
The glare he directs at that girl makes me feel almost sorry for her. He glances down at her name tag, and she pales as she notices. "Lacey, is it? Consider yourself unemployed. If I see you in this lobby again, I'll take my patronage elsewhere. Now give him my damn key card."

I get a bit flustered as the attention is brought back to me, the security guards letting me go quickly and the lady tearing up. She hands me the key card, hurriedly gathering her things. I don't see the rest, cause Seto grabs me and leads me to the elevator.
Once we get on, he presses the button for the highest floor, then leans down and kisses me.

I'm so shocked at how fast it happened that all I can do is stand there. It's a quick kiss, but once he's done his mouth works a path towards my neck. I close my eyes, taking in a quick breath and tilting my head. "S-Seto, what...?"
His kisses stop at my shoulder, and he leans his forehead against it, sighing. "I really need a drink right about now."

I don't pay much mind to the room once we get to it, too ready to just pass out against the mattress. One thing that I DO notice, however, is that there is only one bed. I don't know what I was expectin' really, but it wasn't this. I guess my only frame of reference was that time I visited Serenity, when me and dad stayed in this cheap motel.
It's not the double-bedded disaster that room had been. Far from it.

I'm not even shy about crawlin' under the covers right away, not even bothering to change into proper sleep clothes. Seto makes a comment about it, but I'm already half asleep.
Man, flyin' really does take it outta ya.
