December comes to an end with the fabulous festival of Christmas. Every year, the current confirmation group always set up the crib at the church for Christmas. But during the group’s confirmation year (last year), they were denied permission to make the crib. The Father did mention that their batch had the most enthusiasm for making the crib because they all had gone together to beg for permission. This was due to the antics of the previous batch which sadly affected this batch’s opportunity to make the crib.
However, this year, when Nayo’s batch as making the crib, Jack jumped at the chance to help them as he had been really excited to make the crib. Jack along with his friends Ben and Michael headed to the church. While working on the crib, Jack built up a close bond with Selene. And since he knew how much Ash wished to be with her, he thought of setting them up. Ben and Jack started hanging out together more often and then Michael joined them too. The three of them got really close too. They all made a beautiful crib together and were proud of themselves.
The gang had a great Christmas together. At the usual Youth group Secret Santa, Ash and Alisha had received perfumes. Since Ash was out of town, Jack received his gift for him. Jack, who had gifted someone an expensive makeup set, had received used makeup as a gag gift (Pretty ironic). Jack and John went partying at Michael’s place while the rest of the gang headed home or went out with friends. It was a good end to all the festivities.
31st December was a busy day for Jack. Not only because new years was close, but also because it was Nayo’s birthday that day. He had planned a really cute and sweet birthday. He met her at the church with a cake which had Bolt’s picture on it (Bolt being Jack’s dog) because she was an avid animal lover and absolutely adored Jack’s dog. Ben helped him out with her birthday festivities.
She was elated to see the cake and thanked both of them for the lovely surprise. As soon as it struck midnight, they clicked pictures together and she headed home while Jack headed to meet up with the group. They exchanged greetings of new years and took pictures together. Soon after, everyone headed home with a tired head but a happy heart. 2019 seemed to have begun with a great start.
