As summer went on, everyone was busy with their lives, deciding which colleges, their career path or just chilling around and having fun. Jack did a part-time summer job at a call center. During that month, a new friendship was born. He started random conversations with a girl, which soon turned into texts all night. They met first with a mutual friend but soon enough it turned into movie dates with just the two of them. Jiya had confessed her feelings for him early on but she also agreed that knowing each other should be the priority. While love was possibly blooming, the rest of the gang were eagerly awaiting their results (Eager or nervous, it could go both ways).June began with the dreadful day of results. It was dreadful for some and well joyous for the others. Jack had first pranked John and Ash saying that he failed. Those two came thundering down to his house, worried about him. They were fully convinced that he truly failed (Talk about zero expectations). When he calmed them both down and told the truth, they had a good laugh about it. As we all know parent’s hopes and expectations could sometimes be too much on the student. But if it’s below the student’s expectations, then that hurts a little more. While the guys were elated with having passed their exams, their best friend was crying at home, not only because she failed, but because her dreams of joining the Navy seemed to be fading away. As Ash and the boys weren’t being able to make contact with Alisha, realizing something was wrong, they rushed to her place.
They consoled her as much as they could. Jack held her close while she cried her heart out while he kept trying to calm her down. Ash and John were trying their best efforts to make her feel better. It’s a dreadful feeling to see your dreams crack and everyone has or will feel such a moment at least once in their lives. It’s about how you make your choices now, give up and let go, or change your perspective and try even harder. Alisha was not one to give up. She knew she would have to move past it. She decided to go into the medical field and started training as a nurse. The rest began admissions into their respective colleges and with that June came to its depressing end.
As John and Jack were interested in pursuing hotel management, they got into colleges with ease. Naisha completed her admission process into Bhavans as she had the adequate scores for her degree. Gary and Ash were the only ones left. Gary, who was standing in queues for admission forms, offered to get a form for Ash too. In a span of few days, Ash got some information about entrance exams for Bhavans and went for it. Only after his admissions, did he inform the rest of the group. He had not even mentioned the info to Gary, who was in the same boat as him.
In the end, Gary took admissions in Tolani which also took a good amount of money. Since everyone had been so wrapped up in admissions, no one could make it for Naisha’s birthday. Jack who had been asking around the group for birthday plans got no confirmations, he made plans to go out with some other friend. Gary finished up a few college formalities and went to meet Nona with a cake. He urged Jack to come, but since he was already out, he couldn’t make it. Naisha was a little disappointed as she had expected a good birthday, but they sorted it out with her and she managed to get past it.
