THE UNLIKELY ROMANCE [✓]

"Why were you late? Did you see her? How is she?"

Ae Chan and Yeon Joo surrounded Sung Hyo with questions.

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Wait! I just got here! You didn't even let me say goodbye to my man in peace." Sung Hyo faked a sulk.

"Really?" Ae Han stood, with her hands on her hips.

"Ok! Fine!" Sung Hyo rolled her eyes.

"I guess they are doing fine. She is happy staying with him. He makes her feel good. After a long time I got to see her smile. But..." Sung Hyo briefed her visit.

"That goddamn lecture had to happen today, of all days." Ae Chan frowned in between, breaking the briefing.

"We haven't seen her for two months, after she moved out." Yeon Joo added, darkness crowding her face.

"She really needs us! She hasn't gotten over it yet! She has fallen apart. The whole happiness she put up, was just a role play to make others happy. She is still living in dread. She looks tired. She isn't strong anymore. I don't know how she is going to survive. It's all in Seung Ho oppa's hand" Sung Hyo's eyes filled with tears, as she remembered how her friend broke down on her shoulder.

"Sung Hyo! No! She can't be! She must be happy. We let her choose, to make her happy. I can't allow this..." Ae Chan felt the ache, squish her heart. Her fists rolled, in disappointment, in fury.

Yeon Joo turned away to wipe her eyes, which now rested on their high school picture.

Ae Chan and Sung Hyo followed her gaze, looking at their happy faces.

"I have never seen her like that, after what happened." Yeon Joo whispered, in a hoarse voice.

"She was always the one to comfort and strengthen us. She always knew how to make us smile. But now... we can't even comfort her." Ae Chan's voice clouded.

The three friends stood crying, as one of their phone rang out loud.

"Hello! What is it Kookie?" Yeon Joo answered her phone.

"What!!!!!! You are lying to me!!! No way!!! Yes we will be there!!" Yeon Joo felt numbness creeping up her,

"We got to go to the hospital!" She was now crying.

"What's the matter? What's it?" Ae Chan and Sung Hyo questioned her.

"I will tell you on way! Let's hurry!" Yeon Joo spoke between her sobs.

Meanwhile Seung Ho was working on his project, when his phone rang.

"Hello! This is Yoo Seung Ho! Who is this?" He cheerfully attended the call.

He listened intently, hearing the caller speak.

"Uhm... Yes... I will!" Seung Ho's face was serious, as he ended the call.

Should I tell her. She is just recovering. I don't want her to know about this. What if her friends call her? It's better I prevent her from knowing it. But won't I be cheating her. But she is not strong enough. What should I do?

Seung Ho opened the door to their study, and saw Rin working on her college projects.

"Is it you oppa? I am a bit busy! Will talk to you later!" Rin called out, not taking her head from the sprawled sheets.

"I just checked on you. Carry on! It's nothing!" Seung Ho replied.

He closed the door behind him, silently.

She won't take any calls for sometime. I better go to the hospital.
