Lexxy POV.-

"A game of time will be played by five,
The orphan and the others shall rise.
Face the horrors out of the blue,
This is to be done without all of you.
An exchange with the enemy will take place,
And one shall leave without any trace."

Just as Rachel finished the lines, she fell but was caught by the people sitting beside her. I was hoping that there would be no quest. Now my hopes are squashed. Looks like the fates are really cruel.

Without thinking, I blurted out, "Oh great!"

Everyone looked at me. After a few seconds, murders and complaints filled the air.

"Oh no, another prophecy!"

"We are doomed!"

"May the gods help us!"

"I will go." That got my attention. I turned and saw Alex standing.

"No," Annabeth, Percy and I shouted at once.

"Please I will go!" I stood up, "No you won't Alex."

"Who are you to decide?"

"I can decide."

"You have no right over me, Lexxy."

"I don't care. You won't go."

Asked we both were fighting, everyone was looking at us trying to decide who would win.

"Silence!" Chiron spoke catching the attention of the Demigods. We sat down but were still glaring at each other.

"What Rachel issued was surly a prophecy," He continued.

"'The orphan and the others shall rise.'" I repeated the lines. "I am an orphan."

"Okay. That means one thing. A quest." He said with sadness in his voice.

"No!" Percy spoke up. "They are too young..."

"Percy," I said. "Would you like me to remind you that you were 12 in your first quest?"

"But...." He tried to insist but was cut short when Chiron asked him to sit down.

"She is not claimed yet!" A shout was heard from the Ares cabin.

"We will think about that in a moment," Chiron assured him. "First things first, who would you like to assist you in this quest? The Prophecy said five."

"I will go!" Alex shouted, again.

"No!!" I shouted back. "You are not going anywhere!"

"Lexxy Please..." Annabeth tries to calm me down.

"I am comming to the quest whether you like it or not!"

"Alex.... you are going to stay here with your family."

"Oh yeah! Who are you gonna take to the quest then?" I paused unable to give any answer.

"I will go..." a voice said from the crowd. I turned around to say Morgan Stark standing. "I will come with you too, Morgan," said the girl sitting beside her, Melody Parker.

A panicked expression spread across Peter and MJ's face, "No!" They shouted together.

"Come on, Peter. I always wanted to go on a quest," Morgan insisted. Melody then glanced at her father with puppy eyes, "Daddy! I can take care of myself!"

"Bu- but..b.." Peter looked away. "Fine, but be safe."

They sat down.

Another voice spoke up, "I wanna go too." I glanced at a particular satyr who was standing awkwardly, shy of the attention that he had gathered. He looked like he wanted to just go back to the dark corner he was standing in.

"Chuck!" Alex shouted, with a happy expression on his face. Chuck waved awkwardly at him.

"Demigods...," Chiron continued. He looked annoyed. Like super duper annoyed. "Thus, it is final. The quest will be leaded by Lexxy, followed by Alex Jackson, Morgan Stark,  Melody Parker and Chuck. Sleep tight, demigods."

Then all Hades broke loose.

I started shouting about how it was all unfair. Alex and the others shouldn't go. Why put their lives in danger? Alex saw me complaining and stared rebelling on how it wasn't my decision.

Percy and almost all the older campers stared shouting and complaining that they were just children.

Chiron quietened us by shouting 'StOP'. "The decision is final. The campers shall leave at first light. Sleep tight!" His voice made it clear, he wanted no more complaints.

As we headed towards our cabins, I glanced at Alex, who was having a happy reunion with Chuck. My spare had more worry and sadness than anger. What had we gotten ourselves into?
