New Girl

Chapter 1

~Yuan's POV~

I was walking to class with my friends when I heard talk about two new people coming to our school. I think I heard somebody say she was from Japan? I wonder if she's anything like anime gir- "Yuan are you good?" I heard Eva say. 

I look up at her and rush out that I'm fine.

I wait outside math class, waiting for our teacher to come out. While waiting, I casually talk and laugh with the people around me.

When we are allowed inside the classroom, I rush to the back to sit in a row of three desks with my friends. I look beside me to see who would be sitting with me today and recognize Corbin to my left and Eva to my right.

Math went like normal, doing our warm-up, going over homework, and whatever was planned for that day. About 45 minutes into class, I see two girls walking up to the door through the glass wall.

As they walk in, I can see their features clearly. They're both very pretty, but the orange-haired one catches my eye.

I always thought Claire was kind of cute, but damn! 

I look over at Eva and notice her staring as well, but when I follow her gaze, her eyes are set on the blue-haired girl.

The two girls get called to the front to introduce themselves.

"Hi! I'm Rin Hoshizora, please take care of me!" the orange-haired girl, Rin, says excitedly while bowing.

Rin looked over to the teacher to find out where she would sit, and brightened up after she was told that she could sit anywhere.

"Hello, I'm Umi Sonoda, please take care of me," the blue-haired girl, Umi, says calmly while bowing.

Umi was told to sit anywhere as well, and the two girls sat in the two isolated seats towards the back. 

I was kind of disappointed that I wasn't able to introduce myself yet, but I guess I'll just have to do it later.

After class was over, I walked over to the ELA room for study hall, and notice the two new girls are in front of us.

Usually, I would be one of the first to introduce myself, but something was holding me back. Something was making me nervous. I looked over and saw Eva looking at the two as well, but she's never been the type to willingly go introduce herself to new people.

We get called into class and as we all file into class, I realize that the table I sit at has two open seats and start subconsciously praying that they get seated there. My eyes flit from my seat to the open one next to it.

Eva sits next to me and Corbin takes a seat across from me.

When I look up I see a flash of orange hair and a bright smile.

"Hi! I'm Rin!"

I look up at her face, and it almost makes me blush at how happy she is.

"I'm Yuan!" I say .

I look over to Eva to find her uncomfortable in her seat. I see past her head and get a glimpse of Umi sitting next to her. I nudge her and almost silently aske if she's okay.

"What?" Eva asks, not hearing what I said. I repeat myself once more before she gets what I was asking. She quickly nods and keeps her eyes fixed on the table in front of her.

Throughout the class, all five of us at the table get to know each other, and they quickly come to be a part of our group.

After study hall, we compare schedules and find that we all have the same classes.

At lunch, we all pretty much get separated, which makes me kind of disappointed, but at least we have the same schedule.

We walk over to science class, still talking a bit, when Rin laughs hard and puts her hand on my shoulder. I can feel a little bit of heat on my face, and I try to hide my face.

When we are all seated, I quickly and quietly asked Eva if my blush was noticeable. She tells me that it wasn't really evident unless you looked closely, but I'm still a bit embarrassed. 

All throughout science, we talk and laugh while focusing on our work. Eva had told a joke, and Umi leaned on her while she laughed. I saw a small amount of blush on Eva's face, but everybody else was to busy laughing or talking to notice it.

As we walk to P.E., both me and Eva tease each other about how we feel. I had already confided in her at lunch about how Rin made me feel, and after that she pretty much said the same about Umi.

Eva wen to sit with her friend Savina, while I sat with Corbin. Umi had followed Eva while Rin had followed me. This made me blush, and from the other side of the room, I could see Eva looking down at the table with Umi's arm hooked around hers.

I looked over at Rin with a slight smile on my face, thinking about how cute she was. I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw a hand waving in front of my face, and I saw Rin giggling.

I had no idea what she was laughing about, but even just her smile could spread one to mine.

After we had jogged around the track and done our work, our group sat down in the shade and started talking again. I sat with Eva on my left and Rin to my right. Umi had sat next to Eva, and I could tell that she was getting flustered by how much Umi was with her.

After a little bit of time passed, the coach called us to get our stuff ready to go. All of us grabbed our bags and stood around until we got to leave.

When we were given the 'okay' from the coach, Eva nervously looked at Umi while I looked at Rin.

Rin blushed, for the first time today, and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

It was a quick, small kiss on the cheek, but it had me frozen.

I looked over and saw that Umi had done the same to Eva.

After they left, we turned to each other.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"I couldn't tell you."
