NADINE VIDAL doesn't know when to stop. She's a wildfire; constantly sparking and consuming everything around her with her flames. Her mère thinks she's dangerous-- after all, no ordinary kid can make people see things that weren't really there-- and maybe she's right. After all, Nadine can barely control her illusions, and an unnatural incident that ended with her getting shot-- and living-- at the age of eighteen certainly solidifies the fact that she's not, at least, normal. 

THEN SHE GETS the news that eccentric billionaire Reginald Hargreeves is dead-- something that's sure to bring the infamous Umbrella Academy back together. After being fixated by the group of superheroes since she was thirteen, she realizes that this funeral is the perfect time to finally meet them and learn what's wrong with her. 

BUT THE ACADEMY ISN'T the heavenly paradise Nadine has always imagined it to be. Old Reggie might be dead, but his abusive influence is clear on each of the barren faces of his children. None of them are so inclined to help her figure out her abilities, especially with the end of the world apparently looming before them. But Nadine doesn't really want to die (at least, not yet) so, like an annoying fly, she stubbornly remains in their company. She's not going to let the world end, not on her watch.

NADINE VIDAL may be a wildfire, but she's not going to go down in flames.
