The night was creeping up fast, dinner finished, and all the lumalights headed back to their homes. Aqua was walked home by Copper, him staying a couple of minutes before heading over to his small little home. Skull and Cube had plans to go see their friend, Mid for some advice. On their way to the top floor of the building, Mid stopped them from entering his home without gloves. That meant Skull had to wear his gloves indoors. "What brings you both here?" Mid yawned out.

"Sorry to bother you when you were about to sleep, but we have some questions we want to ask you" Skull apologized, Mid stretching his short arms, and wearing a dazed expression, as though he just drank a whole barrel of beer. "No worries, make yourselves comfy" Mid muttered, grabbing his mini pillow, and sitting on top of several others that were stacked together. Skull and Cube forgot how obsessed Mid could be with pillows since he's like a nocturnal animal.

Skull sat on a normal wooden chair while Cube sat on one of the pillows lying around. "We were wondering if you knew anything about invisible lumalights since...y'know, you have that book of lumalight history" Skull reminded Mid, Cube overjoyed when she heard that kind of book existed. "Mid, you have a book like that!? I could have educated myself!" Cube blissfully shouted, Skull calming her down before she had a brain malfunction. Cube just really loved literature.

"Oh! I never have heard about an invisible lumalight, but I know close mixed lumalights that might make the same kind of spirit" Mid told them, checking behind him the shelf of books that held strips of ribbons acting as bookmarks. Mid went through all the divergent books, laying eyes upon the wanted item. "History of Lumalights" the book had engraved on the cover, and the author was none other than Mid himself. Mid wasn't that old since lumalights didn't age.

He just happened to gather lots of info on the same days when he traveled around. On one of his traveling days, he met Copper and Metal, and ended up here in Clinking Town. "We'd love to have you here! That way, we can know what our fellow lumalights need to be safe from!" Copper once said to Mid, convincing him that Mid would be a great help to their society. "What was the type?" Mid asked, Skull repeating himself, and Mid searching through his book.

"Baby lumalights, Unnamed lumalights, unique lu- oh! Here it is, mixed lumalights!" Mid quietly cheered for himself, flipping through the pages of his book, and looking for the combination of lumalights that would make something like invisibility. The more he flipped through pages, the more he seemed confused, and a bit puzzled. Mid pondered if he skipped a page, but Skull cleared his throat. "If it's not a mix, try looking at that unnamed page you said earlier" Skull hinted.

Mid followed along Skull's wishes, and found something relatively close to invisibility. "Oh, um...well I didn't anticipate this. It's been a while since I've seen this type before" Mid responded, flipping his book over to face Skull and Cube, pointing at the page that was labeled "Ghost Lumalights". Skull and Cube looked at one another with serious faces, and read the info underneath the label. "Reformed lumalights after death, one of two outcomes; Ashed or Ghost".

Skull felt like he should have known about this since he himself was an ashed lumalight, one that related to dead and nonliving objects. "Even you should have known this, Skull" Mid groaned out, rubbing his eyes from under his bags and closing the book. "I know, but why is there even a ghost lumalight here?" Skull questioned, Cube looking out the window of Mid's home to look over the other small homes. There was no shifty behavior in the air, just dreaded silence.

"Possibly because they're simply lonely since they're dead" Mid informed Skull, reminding him that killing alive lumalights as a ghost lumalight can also make them of the same kind. Skull took that into consideration, and took the book from Mid's hands, revising the Ghost Lumalight page and all it's separate counterparts. "Water? But I thought that it had nothing to do with Aqua" Skull whispered to themselves, Mid mishearing his words.

"Nothing to do with water? Actually, ghosts fear water, which is why they appear in reflections of water. To show that they're trapped, and cannot escape reality" Mid told Skull, the gray headed spirit scratching the top of their cracked skull. Mid let out a hefty sigh, and stood up from his stack of pillows, walking over to where his lantern was, blowing out the raging fire inside, and the room dimming down. "You don't mind if I take this, do you?" Skull asked, Mid not minding at all.

"I trust you with that book, and only you, okay, Skull?" Mid firmly lectured Skull, the taller spirit letting out a small chuckle, and bobbing his head. Cube was the first to head down the ladder, heading on to their floor at the bottom. Skull's floor was just below Mid's, him about to leave, but decided to help Mid at least rearrange his pillows before he slept. Skull knew how Mid liked his pillows set, so he flattened them out like a bed, and allowed Mid to lay flat over the pillows.

To top it all off, Skull placed Mid's candy wrapper blanket on top of Mid, the scent of lemon kicking in, and relaxing Mid's mind. "You sure you entrust me with your book you've kept for possibly a whole month?" Skull quizzed the small tired lumalight in the bed. Mid giggled to himself, knowing he was making the right choice. "If it's for you, of course I trust you" Mid drowsily smiled, falling asleep, and shutting his eyes. Skull kissed his forehead carefully, leaving Mid to rest, and go to his floor with the book.

Skull had no clue who the ghost lumalight was, but they were brave to want to find out for themselves. They wanted to be the hero of the day, the one to bring light to this world. Sadly, heroes cannot save everyone, and some people don't want to be saved. Mid was upstairs asleep, a plastered face of love struck on his mixed navy blue and light yellow face. After two weeks of knowing Skull, he was finally loved by his superior. The mixed spirit could not feel any happier than he did as of now. His dreams were sure to sparkle.
