A few of you requested to see different characters react to Max's promise ring from Lucas. Sooo... here you go! Hope you enjoy!

Dustin and Mike

The two boys sat outside the Wheeler's house, waiting for Lucas to arrive. They weren't sure if Max was coming, as Lucas had not yet told them if he managed to get her back. Truth be told, they had been worried that everything had once again changed after Lucas said those horrible things to Max. It was normal for them to break up, but even Dustin and Mike could tell that it was different this time. They just hoped that the two of them would figure it out. They wouldn't ever admit it, but the party wouldn't be the same without Max.

"Is that them?" Mike asked, looking ahead to see two figures approaching on their bikes.

Upon seeing them, Dustin spoke. "I think so. They look... happy. Thank god."

"Hey guys." Lucas waved as he got closer.

"So I take it that everything went well?" Mike asked.

Max blushed as she nodded. "I guess you could say that."

Dustin watched as Max got off her bike, however, something on her left hand shone as the sunlight hit it.

"Max... What is on your finger?" Dustin said slowly. But before Max even had the chance to respond, Dustin recognised the shiny object as a ring... sitting on her left wedding finger. "Holy shit!"

Max felt her arm yanked towards Dustin as he grabbed her hand to get a closer look.

"Jesus, Lucas! What have you done?" Dustin looked at his friend. "You were supposed to make her your girlfriend again, not your fiancé!"

At those words, Mike came over to look at Max's hands. "Holy mother of god."

"This is- this is... fucking insane! We're 15 for Christ's sake! I didn't know you could do this! Can you do this?" Dustin continued pulling Max's hand around to get a better look.

Max pulled her hand back towards her, adjusting the ring. "Calm down, you lunatic!"

"Calm down? Calm down! Max I'm not letting you get married!" Dustin started at her bewildered.

"Dustin! I'm not getting married!" Dustin let out an audible sigh of relief at Max's words. "And even if I were, I wouldn't let you stop me."

Lucas decided to step in. "It's a promise ring, you idiot."

"Jesus Christ." Dustin managed.

Mike twisted his face in disgust. "Gross."

Lucas raised his eyebrows at him. "C'mon Mike, you're just mad you didn't think of giving one to El first."

"Yeah... but it's Max." Mike replied.

"Love you too, Wheeler." Max raised her middle finger at him.

"Anytime." He smirked.

Dustin began to pick up his bike. "Well at least we know one thing."

As the rest of the party followed suit, Max asked "Yeah? What's that?"

Dustin chuckled, "Lucas is completely whipped."

And with that, Dustin raced away laughing, leaving the party to pedal after him.
